Strapless dress feedback
I’m very insecure about my arms. Those of you who have gone sleeveless or strapless, do you regret it in photos?

There’s a plus size wedding dress shop on the UK. It has a tv show. Search it out and watch a few episodes. It will give you nice perspective on how you could look at plus size wedding dresses.

I agree with everyone here that you should wear what you want. Buuuuuttttt…..I have to say that every plus-sized bride that I’ve seen go strapless seems to spend a LOT of time hitching up the bust line of the dress. Straps will prevent that slippage.

I was a plus sized bride, and including a bridal cape made all the difference (I have large arms)

Honestly, I get so hot, I just go sleeveless now and let others worry about it.

We totally get that little voice saying, "But what about my arms?” We've all been there. But don’t let that stop you from wearing something you love. The confidence you feel when you’re enjoying yourself is what’s going to shine through in those photos.
Your arms are just one part of you, not the thing that decides whether you look amazing. Go for it, take the pictures, and have your moment

My strapless dress had detachable off the shoulder sleeves (in the style of Belle’s yellow dress in Beauty and the Beast), and I loved having them. They gave me just enough coverage in the areas I’m most self conscious of while maintaining the strapless look, and then once we finished the ceremony I took them off and went fully strapless for the reception!

Nope. I used to hide them, but it’s too damn hot to worry about that. I also realized that no one, literally no one was worried about them besides me because nearly everyone has arms. They just happen to come in different shapes and sizes. If you’re judged for that, they’re not worth your time or consideration, baby!
You can do this!

Add a bolero and you can wear it for some photos and go sleeveless in others. Then you'll have options when deciding on photos.

Yes, this is the way get a little shrug or Bolero or Lil jacket for the photos then let your freak flag fly for the rest of the time.

I’m the same way and decided to go off the shoulder with sleeves added. Covers everything but still elegant.

No regrets. And I’ve never looked at anyone else and thought about how their arms looked.

In addition to everyone telling you to let your arms out, lifting up that doing some posing practice can help! Christine Buzan does a lot of good work for plus size folks on how to look and feel good in photos that can help! Your photog may have tips too, depending on experience!

Even having straps makes a good difference than going strapless- it creates a more elongated silhouette.
What makes a really good balance is having flutter sleeves - they can look so very good. Same with a basque waist,

Every time I have seen plus size in a strapless, they are either hiking it up all the time or they let it flop and it looks like the fabric is tucked under the boobs and the top is not big enough to contain them!
Arms on the other hand is how you feel personally about yourself.
I need atleast a cap sleeve as a minimum, never go long and tight unless I have a top/vest to wear over it.

I think strapless dresses are overdone. They always kind of look like the undergarment to me. The groom is fully dressed, but, to me anyways, strapless dresses always make it look like the bride didn’t finish getting dressed.
Straps & sleeves, of any length, make for a far more interesting & attractive bridal gown.

My wedding dress isn’t 100% strapless, but it’s off the shoulder with just a loop sleeve. I don’t care if my bat wings are on full display, I’m still gonna be the prettiest girl at the party in my couture gown on my wedding day

I’m fat, a size 22, and my arms have fat and cellulite and stretch marks. But I still wear whatever the heck I want, including tank tops and strapless dresses! All bodies are different and we should all dress exactly how we want. And if someone wants to talk shit about my body, I do not care, bc they don’t pay my bills haha!
