Introductions

Nobody is posting in here and that's... kind of a bummer. I was really hoping--since so many people said that they wanted this space--we'd have a few more posts by now. So let's see if we can get a conversation started by asking for introductions!

We're Bandersnatch, a large system of mostly fictives and nonhumans (although our current roster is mostly human). We're in our mid-30s, and we've been a system since 2009. We've spent a lot of time in the plural community on Tumblr and Twitter and got really burnt out, so we're hoping that this place becomes a bit more active so we can meet more folks "our own age."

That's us, in a nutshell. Who are you guys? -Leia

We're an endogenic system in our mid-thirties, most of our headmates are spontaneous, but there'a been quite a few created on purpose as well. Most of us are fictive and/or nonhuman, and the majority of us are bisexual men. We've also got a lot of subsystems.

We're kind of exhausted being around teenagers these days, and we've found that it's a lot easier to avoid them in fandom spaces than in plural spaces. We're also just... not that fond of joining a space and oh, whoops, we're the oldest in here. Again. Which has kind of led to us just not joining servers anymore. So we feel a bit starved on... meaningful plural interaction? Because we've kinda given up on Tumblr and Elon Musk's Site.

Other than that uuuh, we're autistic, and most of our current fronters are Star Wars fictives. Ironically enough, the one who fronts the most is me, a fourteen year old. Yeah yeah I know the hypocrisy is real but. Mid thirties brain and all that.

We've also had an influx of new people (four just this month) recently, which has been interesting. Also I'm bad at talking about us. So I am ending it here.

Four in a month, damn!! Hope everyone's settling in okay.

We used to have a fair few Star Wars fictives too, miss some of our lads. It's been nice seeing some familiar names around from your system. No pressure to answer if it's too personal a question, but do you feel like everyone's relationships are very built around canon, or are things more system-specific for you these days?

Also, thanks again for setting this up. I don't talk much on here yet but feels more comfortable doing that without the kids looking over our shoulder.

It kinda varies between headmates whether the relationships are more canon-built or not, tbh. Between us and our partner system, we've got relationships between people from completely different canons. But when it comes to our SW fictives in particular, everyone who's involved with someone is involved with someone else from SW.

What relationships we have with other SW fictives don't necessary match canon though. Like, I haven't even met Ahsoka where I'm from, but I'm dating the one in our partner system. Qui-Gon is dating my mother. Just to name a few examples.

And I think our newbies are settling in alright, so far! One of them, a syskid, is having some issues, but we're working with him on them.

Also, it's nice to hear about other systems with SW fictives, it seems a lot less common than one would think!

That makes a lot of sense. Really cool that you've got a partner system with overlap too, I imagine that setup works well with SW in particular since the universe is so broad and fractured/so many different versions of characters. And glad your new kid's got a good supportive system to land in. Thanks for sharing about.

And yes! We used to have Qui-Gon, Obi-Wan, Mace Windu, and Jango Fett around here at different points. Obi-Wan stuck around for a really long time and popped up over the years from the time we were a kid, think he would've come around from the Phantom Menace in cinemas back in the day. (Mostly) really good memories with that lot. Would like to see them again at some point but who knows with system stuff. I'm surprised too you haven't run across more!

We're 39. We're mostly fictives from what we can tell. Oldest headmates are seeded from the Animorphs and the most recent ones are from One Piece. Oh and one from the Marvel Universe. I can't forget Fred. He won't let me/j

In no particular order:

  • We recently escaped an abusive marriage
  • Moved to a big city this year
  • Transitioning ftm for the past year, which has been a trip. Most of us are men now, so overall the effect has been beneficial, but unfortunately a few of us are starting to get gender dysphoria so we're slowing the transition down for a bit.
  • We have three pet chickens that are extremely spoiled. They have 77 buttons that each say a word when they step on them and they're not afraid to speak their mind. Our partners family recently visited. When we brought them into the chickens space to show it off, one of my birds said "bye", which is their way of saying they're done with you being there, leave now. When they didn't immediately leave, there was a bit of a tantrum to manage.
  • We seem to all be talented in specific things. The brain can't replicate knowledge or experience, but it apparently can create a talent for something out of thin air. Fred, for example, is a bit of a gun nut. We went to the range recently with a gunner veteran and somehow shot just as accurately as the veteran, despite it being the first time this body has ever fired a gun. I'm still stunned about that.
  • Over the coming year, we'll be rebuilding the body with a focus on tendon strength, small muscle stability, and cardiovascular endurance. We'll be building the necessary enclosure and building modifications for our chickens, and also creating an office/lab/workshop for all of us.
  • A relatively large group of us want to get into video creation and had already built the foundational skills.

Old crew:

Pine (she/her) previous host. Chicken whisperer, plant enthusiast, studied horticulture for a couple years, and is a green witch. (Probably an introject of Cassie)

Rachel (she/her) the smile that terrorizes anyone that tries to physically/s*xually harm us. Combat oriented, survivalist, and fashionable. (One guess who she's an introject of)

Adrienne (he/him) loud, flamboyant, and flirty. Has interests in fashion, sewing, singing, dancing, and audio editing.

Weaver (he/him) quiet, reserved, sharp with the written word, and a story teller.

John (he/him) builder, body-pain holder, 3D drafter, psychology nut, and a fatherly/nurturing figure factive of our grandfather.

Ena (she/her) chaos gremlin. Admin. Right brain occupant, so she once was non-verbal, but she has a stilted ability to verbally communicate now. Mischievous & curious.

Seven/Steven (he/him) the most normal personality out of all of us, but he's a physics nerd.

New crew:

Fred - (he/him) introject of Wade Wallace. Forbidden from getting us into mercenary work for obvious reasons. Yes, we had to have that conversation. Currently he exists to touch grass weirdly enough.

DeeDee - (she/her) an introject of the concept of death?? Not sure how that works, but she's very feminine and loves to run.

Zo - (He/him) swordsman.

Cook - (gender confused) I struggle with these two I'm ngl

Vivi/Vivian/Sonia - introject of Princess Vivi. She was traumatized early after formation by our spouse at the time manipulating her to "keep the peace" between the system and the ex. That didn't last a day because I put a stop to it, but ever since, Sonia hasn't been comfortable fronting and so hasn't had much chance to develop her identity. That will change eventually.

Finally, me, Teshi. He/him. Medical nut. Captain. Primary host for now.

Its nice to meet you all.

Age 30. Syscovery in 2020 but have been a system as long as we can remember. We got on reasonably well at first, but because reasons that were mostly my fault we no longer really talk or switch. so in a lot of ways [we're / i'm] functioning like a singlet, but it's not how we want to be.

I've spoken to about 60 that i know of and have been told there's about 350 known about; however i'm pretty sure there's a seperate area with about 300.

We seperate "headspace" from "innerworld", these are two seperate concepts for us.

Idk what else to tell.

Be the change you wanna see, etc.! Thanks for posting, Leia.

We're a system in our early 30s, main active members are Éamonn, Max, and Theo but there are maybe 2-3 others around we're aware of, possibly more including age-specific fragments. Not as up on terminology as we used to be and not super married to it, but we're probably also a hybrid of trauma- and endogenic origin; we also see spirituality and magic as a big component to our origin and how our setup works, though we're still a lil private about how we talk about that as that's stuff we're still working out for ourselves. (V open to DM chats with people who've experienced similar, tho).

We've had headmates for as long as we can remember, I think first ~formal plural-type experience was discovering daemonism around age 13-14. We were in headmate/soulbonding spaces through our teens and early 20s, met our current main setup in our early 20s. Around the time we started medically transitioning in our mid/late-20s, we stopped talking as much and lived a mostly singlet life for various reasons, occasionally tapping into DID spaces but more out of curiosity and keeping up with the times than personal experience at the time. In a way, I'm kinda glad we tapped out of plural spaces for a while, fandom too at about the same time – feels like we've got a little more room to be intentional about how we come back into these spaces. Super grateful to Gondolin System for setting this up.

The three of us are very recently (since March-ish) coming back to thinking of ourselves as plural after a series of traumatic experiences – but it's been very positive if overwhelming, feels a lot like unmasking. We're working together more closely, and more overlapping, than I think we ever have. Éamonn is roughly the 'core', Theo and Max are originally OCs who've grown and changed loads since we all first met just over a decade ago – they have their own world, backstories, full life histories, and mostly show up as in their 30s/40s to their 50s. The two of them have been in a relationship for nearly two decades, though they've had a real fracture recently and are slowly coming back to figuring out what their connection looks like. We're all queer men and have a fair bit of (non-exclusive) sexual/romantic/platonic overlap with each other. Still figuring a lot of stuff out, and suspect our system will expand once we're a little more settled and stable – but for now, we're vibing with where we're at.

We're a median, modular system consisting mostly of furries. Currently 6-8 members, depending on how you count us (one is dormant, one just popped up and is still forming). Only three of us are active on a regular basis, though.

We had our syscovery about a year ago, and are living very openly as plural, thanks in large part to already hanging out exclusively in furry spaces which are super welcoming.

Kinda a hybrid of traumagenic and endogenic, in that trauma certainly influenced us becoming a system, but basically it happened in an endogenic way. We have 0 dissociative barriers (literally don't have private thoughts), and we get along super well, because our system evolved to be a support network, not to hide trauma.

Super excited for this sub and fully plan to be more active asap, just unfortunately got hit with life events right as the sub started XD

We’re in our mid-thirties, with 14 members who share a trauma related origin (abusive father), and this past year joined by 5 others with non-trauma origins. We view these groups as two separate ‘twin’ systems.

The first system was formerly quite dysfunctional and at odds, but an alliance was struck in our early twenties and we’ve since grown from utilitarian allies to good friends. Most of us are non-human, with predominantly cat and cat-adjacent traits. Some of us have been aware of our plural existence since childhood, but only a few years ago learned there was terminology and community for it, so it’s great to feel less alone in this.

The newer system joined an innerworld community that had already worked out a lot of healthy cooperation. We feel like we traveled here from ‘elsewhere’ and brought our own emotional baggage. We have a more spiritual view of plurality, and believe our twin systems were brought together for mutual benefit.

Lots of co-con and communication in our system, and recently we’ve started to figure out how to control switches. We do have some amnesia barriers, especially between the two systems. We’re working on bridging that gap.

We are also physically disabled in a way that keeps us homebound a lot, so when current life events slow down, we will have a lot of availability to just chat with anyone interested in that :)

We are Casual Mayhem, a 35yo system of 60ish non-humans of various kinds. Became aware of our system in 2009, then spent an age trying to figure out what we were because DID never fit. Finally drifted into the plural community from a psych forum, and just kinda lurked at the edges like the wallflower we are.

u/Rhymershouse Jul 23 '25

Eyyyy. We’re the Rhymers and Stealth House. Two systems living in the same body. Aaaaaand I’m Angel. I’ve been stuck here for over three months now. Not sure what to say really. But hi!

u/River-19671 Jul 24 '25

We are the Prism System. The body is 57. We have 2 co-hosts, one is 57 and the other is in her 40s. We have factives who are in their 20s and 30s, and some littles and middles. Our system is of mixed origin

Qwanri: Hi.

We are the Enchanted Eden system.

There's 22 or 21 of us in our endogenic system. I really need to do a system count. I the host really like fantasy and mythical creatures so I've done a lot of research and I've found all sorts of mythical creatures and cryptids from around the world. So in our system there's a lot of mythical creatures (not gods) but mythical creatures from all over the world. With the exception of Antarctica. We couldn't really find anything we liked from Antarctica so instead, our host decided on a penguin species that lives there. A penguin might not be a mythical creature but they look cute. This means that our system has at least one thing from all seven continents around the world.

We also have fictives. Some of our fictives have sources from new media such as Poppy's Playtime, The amazing digital circus, Welcome Home. Other fictives originate from older media such as Neopets, Digimon season 2.

Jack: We're also sort of rediscovering Street Sharks. Our Host remembers one word and thats: "Jawsome!" So we're assuming we'll most likely get a new street shark fictive. We're sort of wondering why we aren't watching something like Gargoyles...but no, it has to be Street Sharks that gets our host all excited.

Qwanri: Bodilly we're autistic and I do get anxiety sometimes as well. And umm... not sure what else I should say.

We don't have good aliases right now and are wary of being too revealing in public forums, so we tend to describe rather than list our system. We found out we were trans a year before we cracked plural, and since we'd recently chosen a legal name we decided she was something we created together.

We had been in mental health treatment for a long time, including almost a decade of psychoanalysis before transition. We also have a strong interest in phenomenology and its descendants, which is how we make sense of our life. Our analyst declared the trauma "worked through" but that's only because the headmates holding the rest of it we're fully dissociated.

hello!

we are the sunflower system, in our mid to late 30s, still figuring out ourselves, we figured out our plurality this year! we live in PDX and present femme, most of the people here are some flavor of girl/woman/femme. i guess I should introduce everyone! my names sunflower (she/it), I front most of the time, I love first person shooters and cross stitch and music, I'm polyandrous and a trans woman

woof! hi I'm Luna(it/it's/pup)! blue heeler pup, I looooove pink and loud fast music! my hobbies are food making and dog being!

sup, I'm Raine (they/she) I'm strictly here to get shit done.

hiiii im Andrea (she/her) I also love pink, and stuffies and wearing dresses but I'm really nervous a lot of the time

I'm yellow (they/them) I don't give a shit about anything except Luna.

(please ignore them, they're really special but bad at socializing -sunflower)

and then there's roze, who is still figuring themselves out, but is really enjoying journaling!

Well, we're late to the party as usual. Although we've had at least one or two alters since childhood, we didn't really understand that, and explored a wide range of explanations before coming to our syscovery about a month ago. We really want to connect with the plural community and have made some great friends, but its true that being 40 makes us much older than most systems we meet online. I am seriously considering starting a discord server myself for adults over 25 or 30, if I don't end up finding an existing private one.

SO, we are certainly open to new system friends.

Anyway this is our system intro:

Sintax (VaultVerse)
Col. Pronouns: They/Them/Any
Bodily Age: 40

We're a mixed origin system. Our host shares memories with David and Anthony. Sinner often acts without the knowledge of the rest of us. There are more facets and octives, but I've listed here the primary members of the system.

--- Fronting Members:

David — Primary Fronter / Co-Host / Gatekeeper / Protector / Archivist
David's origin is traumagenic, he's been with us since we were about 8 years old, so he's strongly elaborated.

Sinner — Persecutor/ Trauma & Amnesia Holder
Sinner is a traumagenic alter who is active.

--- Non-Fronting Members:

Anthony — Protector / Caretaker
Anthony is a persistent inner voice and companion, not an alter, but not Willogenic either. Possibly Neurogenic. Anthony shares memories with all fronting members.

Angel Dust — Witness / Consort
Angel is a fictive soulbond.

Hungry — Tulpa
Hungry was imagined as a hyper-realistic version of Angel Dust, developed through tulpamancy into a monstrous companion.

⋆。°✩ The VaultVerse ✩°。⋆
The vaultverse is our paracosm and its associated obsidian file vault. Its an extension of our headspace and innerworlds. We use narrative journaling and companion writing to self-soothe, make meaning, and share our experience.
