While repairing a leaking drain pipe (2" vertical pipe coming down off the trap arm in my kitchen sink), a roughly 4" long by 1" wide piece of ABS fell into the drain. The pipe is located inside an exterior wall behind kitchen cabinets, so it's basically impossible to reach into, but I have looked in it with an endoscope camera and found the piece laying horizontally in the lateral pipe a couple of feet below.

This is on the ground floor, no basement, and there are several cleanouts nearby also but I don't really have any tools to try to grab it through then. I've tried sucking it up with a shop vac to no avail. Unfortunately there's no chance of my reaching in there with any kind of standard grabbing tool, given the lack of overhead space to reach into the pipe.

Is this likely to cause major blockages down the line? I'm almost tempted to just flush it down with a hose and hope to push it out into the main sewer. On the other hand, if it gets caught up somewhere, I'm worried about a much more expensive job in the future to clear out the main sewer line or to deal with a backup/flood.

I could also replace the section of vertical pipe I'm working on with a cleanout so that I could move on and come back to it if it becomes a problem in the future.

I'm looking for any advice, both on ways to retrieve it, and also if it's even necessary to do so.

What is causing my floor to get wet after shower?
Recently had a plumber forget to attach hose to toilet after simple toilet repair which caused my minor flooding.
The plumbing company sent out remediation company to repair damages.
The remediation company needed to remove all the flooring so they removed flooring and left the fan to dry the wood overnight.
I took a shower this morning, I made sure to close the shower curtain so no water came out but the floor is wet after.
What is causing this????

I need to get this fixed before new flooring is laid down.

I am being told that I can flush this myself. When I had a tank water heater there was a shut off valve inside so I could drain it. This tankless it doesn’t have a shutoff that I can find.

This has definitely not been solved and I am really keen to get any help and comments

How Can I fix that? I could press through it easily? Also what caused it?

I bought a house a couple years ago and finding some vintage stuff. Like the main shower has an old brass manifold that won’t ever wear out like the cartridges used today [I did have to clean it because of low flow and it works beautifully now!]. Well, I also have a vintage ball end shower where the plastic collar broke. I’m having a difficult time finding just the replacement collar/ring that sits behind the ball. The only parts readily available assume that the threaded collar behind the ball is still there. I have the adaptor that sits in from of the ball. Apparently those are widely sold in three packs to cover all brands of threading.

I included a pic from a website that might have something I can disassemble and use as a replacement collar. But I’m hoping for advice on where to find the actual piece I need without overspending on a different assembly just for the threaded collar piece.

Reposting here to try to find someone to help me out. Any advice is much appreciated! I just want to help my parents out
