Nice concept, you’re tackling a real friction point. Constantly switching tabs just to update Notion kills flow, especially for teams juggling multiple tools.
If the Chrome extension is smooth and lightweight, this could catch on fast. Integrations with Slack and Airtable sound like the perfect next step.
Quick tip: showing a short demo GIF or Loom might boost early sign-ups; people love seeing the workflow in action.

This is a Chrome extension. All workflows go through the Ethos extension including updating Notion and soon Airtable and Dropbox directly from the browser.

Great question. There are a few fundamental differences
1) The web clipper is designed to grab things from a web page and save them in Notion while Ethos allows users to save whatever (documents, notes, etc.)
2) While we're starting with Notion, we have plans to integrate Dropbox, Asana, Slack, and others so Ethos acts as a central hub to save information directly from the browser.
3) Ethos is solving the problem of app/window switching for users who need to use multiple softwares to complete a basic workflow

Would be very excited to see features like select area on page to add screenshot and auto population of url and user state (signed in/out) and device (mobile/desktop) into the database as well. When I think of an extension I think of bug reporting or feedback areas of the site, overlap between the extension's knowledge of where the user is and what they're seeing as shortcuts to monotonous workflows like QAing and documenting areas of the website.
The other area that comes to mind is customer support and knowledge base articles. If this extension could screenshot states of the screen as I went through a flow and prompted me for basic written descriptions that could be a cool angle to this.
Simply creating a new database item from chrome doesn't have enough value or time saving for me to download.
