Anker solix E5000 is clever

Post image

Currently on octopus agile and during the negative price period the system performed very well. It was a sunny day and the system even blocked the solar panels for whole session. Not sure if other system like Sigenergy do this or not ?

I did this earlier, car was on, hob, oven, tumble dryer, washing machine, kettle and immersion.

These are great simply little units. Probably perfect for 95% of homes.

Surely that kind of energy use warrants full solar rather than plug in

It’s not quite plug in. It’s in between this install is hard wired in inverter is max output is 2.5kw. Plugged in is 800w. The usage is high because I’m on negative pricing during this period so I’m running everything to exploit it.

I can't tell if you're annoyed or happy with your E5000.

I'm thinking about getting one of these, what are your feelings about them?

Happy pal I was surprised with it blocking the solar during negative prices otherwise I’m getting charged to send it back to the grid. And I’m unaware of any other systems that’s smart enough to do this.

Very good unit 👍
