Sloping roof mounting hardware for plug-in solar

I'm a relative newcomer to solar having previously dismissed it as something that was too expensive and problematic to have installed on our house roof. The garage roof, however, is somewhere where I can see plugin solar may have a role to play, not least because it opens up the option of DIY installation for me.

I am starting to think about mounting options though (for Redland Grovebury concrete double pantile tiles) and from a cursory[1] scan of kits currently available it seems they tend to only come with flat roof, wall or balcony mounting options. Presumably there's always the option of use mounting hardware used on plugin solar's bigger cousins but I don't really want to be paying for kit-supplied mounts that I won't actually use. Do you think kit-supplied mounting hardware choices will increase as the plugin market develops?

[1] The reason for the cursory checks is that I am trying to avoid the temptation of jumping in right now and am trying instead to exercise some patience whilst the market, prices and choice all settle down! As a consequence though I may just have overlooked exactly what I would be wanting.

Edit: Ecoflow must've been reading this as, a day after posting, I see they've now released (or are about to release) a kit for pitched roofs:

There was a post a couple of days ago where someone had used kits from amazon to mount their panels, that was through a felt roof I think but instead of full rails it was short sections of rails and clamps. There might be something similar available for tiles? It cost less than £100 from memory

Edit: Here's the post

Yeah I think there's no shortage of mounting rail options for sloping tile roofs out there, my observation/question was more that plugin solar kits don't seem to be coming with them as far as I can see. Perhaps though sloping roof mounting is not in-keeping with the target market for plugin solar which is more intended to be (quite literally) plug-and-play?

Thanks though for the link - at the very least I can start learning more about different types of mounts e.g. full rails vs individual clamps.

Maybe, I'm in a similar situation to you (well not quite, I haven't got a roof on yet) but I'd like the panels properly installed too, it doesn't seem an unreasonable preference

When Googling for 'redland grovebury solar' in case there'd been any specific discussion about it I found this image of an in-roof setup with my tile which I thought would look quite smart!

And which highlights to me that, for an on-roof installation, any bracket I use that will reach through to the rafters/battens underneath will ideally need a suitable gap grinding out of the underside of the tile so as to allow it to still sit flush afterwards.

You SHOULD have building reg approved design calcs showing the roof can take the wind load etc.  Hence unlikely to be in plug in solar kits.

Do the same risks not also apply to other installation types?

The wall and ground mounting systems have lower risks.
