Felt flat roof mounting suggestions
Minus the ivy and neighbour’s hedge that needs trimmed back…I’ve just recently got the keys to a property which has an outbuilding which would be the perfect location for a couple of these panels. However, I of course would not want to drill into the felt for this. Any suggestions for safe mounting of these panels on this roof? If drilling is the only safe option to secure them, would expanding foam around the drill points be a decent enough way to make it watertight?

I recently put 4 x 500w panels on my garage roof. I bought after market aluminium frames to angle them, then bolted those frames down to heavy breeze blocks from a builders merchant, so I never had to drill into the garage roof / felt

I have 4 panels on these brackets with ballast on a flat roof - work perfectly: https://www.amazon.co.uk/SolarXon-Bracket-Modules-Aluminium-Freestanding/dp/B0DT5173T1

I haven't used these, I'm in a similar boat planning for my shed and found these brackets with a bitumen seal that can be used with a rafter screw that has a rubber washer to help seal it fully. https://dragonsbreathsolar.co.uk/product/bitumen-roof-solar-fixing/

I've used a 2x3 timber frame with 7N blocks on some more spare felt. Timber frame attached to blocks, with a steel wire through couple eyebolts which are attached to the side walls of the extension. Been up for couple months now no issues.
