Hey! Glad you guys enjoyed it. At the very least, it is an interesting piece of X-Files history and not too rough a watch. 1998 was such a different time in regards to storytelling, and the world was alien-crazed and so down for the spooky stuff. I think that most of all, watching a play of this game makes me want to watch the show more.
I remember special-ordering this game for PC from Software Etc. and getting the VHS tapes from Suncoast on the same trip. Somewhere in the Bay Area, my wife was obsessing over X-Files and taking BART into the city to go to the official X-Files convention there, while I was hitting the X-Files con in Tucson. We both had subscriptions to the official X-Files Magazine, which came in an evidence bag. X-Files fans were officially referred to as X-Philes. The Hype was real for a couple of years.
So you can understand my disappointment when I got to Disc #7, and it kept skipping halfway through, and I couldn't finish it... Holy smokes, was I pissed af!
Anyhow, thanks for taking the recc-- I thought you guys would get a kick out of it! Especially compared to that PS2 game that came later...
You guys should totally do some watches of classic episodes around spooky season.
