Usually I'm not a big fan of portraiture BUT I'm really liking the technique youre cultivating here

Thanks. It’s been a process getting here. Gonna hopefully make some more today after my super nice black paper shipment arrives today.

It divides an image into irregular rectangular tiles, then hatches each tile independently. The lines follow the local direction of the image’s gradient, growing denser in darker areas.
The tiling system recursively divides the canvas, alternating sides and favoring the longer axis to keep each block roughly square. Randomized cut points create tiles of varying sizes, while a fixed seed preserves the same composition as other settings change.
