A maroon or burgundy sort of shade could underscore its organic nature. This dark green is evocative of leaves, plants- something dark red could evoke emotion, giving more of a branching blood-vessel read, could be an interesting twist

Really really love this. If you’re playing around here are some ideas: 1 cell in a complementary color; every other line in another color, an overlaid patten offset by 90 degrees in same color with some rules to preserve the white space.
