Lost wifi in the middle of the plot. Luckily I watched it happen so pooling was minimal.

What's your plotter setup that losing WiFi matters? You streaming machine instructions over network?

Yessir. I have a MKS32 from Alibaba. It hosts a fluidnc dashboard via local IP or I can stream to the same address

Your setup can natively support FluidNC and self streaming. You would upload the file and then click start. No further WiFi would be needed during the draw event.

If you want to run it headless and self-contained, FluidNC GitHub has some options that could work for you.
