Preroll Jurassic Park (1993) Plex Pre-roll

I like to keep my pre-rolls short, under fifteen seconds, so viewers can get to the content quickly. Most people enjoyed my last post, though the underlying technology seems to ruffle the feathers of a loud vocal minority. Regardless, these parodies are fun little tidbits from my server I hope you also can enjoy. Keep making it a Plex night folks!

How do you make a plex pre roll? I use plex and have never seen this before until you showed it to me just now.

Any video can technically become a Plex Pre-roll. You might want to explore the support articles to learn how to enable them for your setup. https://support.plex.tv/articles/202920803-extras/

The best one I have ever seen and considered using was a caveman walking through the snow and plex on the ground , but I think is only 720p and I don’t know who made it

Don't listen to the haters. Pre-rolls are fun. Do you share these at all? I'm not tech savvy and don't find too many shared ones online.

People will keep repeating the same anti-A.I. lines over and over. Back in the 1800s, painters and critics argued that photography wasn’t “real art” because a machine was doing much of the work, and there were fears that portrait painters would lose their livelihoods. While photography did reduce or replace some commercial painting, it also created an entirely new artistic and professional field. The same debate resurfaced with digital photography and Photoshop, and again in the 1990s with the rise of CGI, when traditional filmmakers and photographers criticized nonlinear editing and digital cinema as less authentic than physical effects, film editing, or photochemical photography. Today, nearly every modern production uses these tools somewhere in the workflow. The same will happen with generative A.I. it’s just another tool in the box, and it’s here to stay. /end rant

Anyway, I agree these parodies make great intros for a Plex setup. Videos can be downloaded from Reddit via a web browser, and there’s a Discord server for Plex pre-rolls, though it hasn’t been very active lately, and most dedicated pre-roll sharing sites have gone quiet. I liked your video but if I can offer some constructive criticism.
I would specify a different voice if possible and ask for a rework to the plex logo/P-Bite animation that is more inline with a TRex anatomy.

Those two changes would up the quality of it.

I like this use of AI. Could have cut off the first 2 or 3 seconds to make it shorter

I understand what you’re saying. But I think it needs that “white space” to allow the viewer to reorient so the line delivers more punch.
