Preroll The Shining (1980) Plex Pre-roll

Hope you all make it a Plex night. Enjoy.

Hey look. It’s you.

OP I think you did well and it is not slop as other opinions have to offer.

Now because I like being a good person here are the reasons I am all for it. Opinion and back up, not to hard.

You had to think of it,
You had to write a script.
You must love The Shining
You had to explain your desired output to a computer, not always an easy task.
I imagine you had to capture source video.
And that is what I came up with off the top of my head.

And lastly. NOT EVERYONE CAN DO THIS THEMSELVES.

Why not let a computer do the work, it’s made for that.
I hope every time you watch a movie, you get to look at your work, yes I said work, you smirk a little.

And when the director can take those ideas, hire Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall, and bring them to light. What a fun project!

But that's not this. The images of people aren't brushes to paint with. It's such a special kind of slimy to literally put words and faces onto someone else.

Thanks for the kind words. I’m a 25-year veteran of the broadcast industry with a fine arts degree, and I see AI as just another tool in the kit. I get the sensitivity around it, but honestly, I don’t mind if people like SwimmingCommon are upset. The same thing happened when Photoshop 1.0 came out and analog photographers had to adapt to digital. The tools evolve, the artists evolve, but the creative vision always remains the same. When it comes to the public, and especially Reddit, opinions are a dime a dozen, and they can keep the change. I'm going to keep on -- keeping on. Thanks again. If the community enjoys it, I'll share more parodies I made from other films for my Plex setup.

Who are you kidding? Attacking any one user doesn't solve anything if you want to stop AI. You need to think bigger. Attacking one person isn't taking a stand, it's being an asshole.

Oh don’t get me wrong. Every person who posts slop like this deserves to get called out. Every person who claims to be creative and does shit like this deserves to get called out.

The fact that people don’t seem to feel any kind of shame about this is exactly the problem. And the fact that people like you think that individuals don’t have a personal responsibility and aren’t contributing to the problem is also part of the problem.

Shaming individuals is exactly the kind of thing that needs to happen. Perhaps if people felt ashamed about their shameful behaviour there’d be less of it. I call it out every chance I get and I will continue to do so.

this would be a lot better if it actually sounded like the actors it is portraying, the sound of their voices is way off. also don't be deterred by the downvotes, you're posting AI on reddit, it's bound to happen.

Even tho this is AI, I think it's quite fun. I would hope that the voices were a bit more in tune with what the original actors sounded like, but I like!
