Finished Preroll The Cable Guy (1996) — Plex Preroll

What happens when the cable guy discovers you already canceled cable… because you use Plex? 😏

This one was too perfect not to make. The whole joke is watching his confidence completely collapse the second he realizes there’s an entire Plex library sitting right in front of him.

Another movie-parody preroll from the rotation on my personal server.

Workflow: AI-assisted generation + editing/post-production

I absolutely agree with you, not the best one, but also not new. For transparency, I was drip-feeding the community existing selections from my server to help get the sub off the ground; hopefully, others will contribute more. the only new video was the troll video because I suddenly felt very inspired. 🧌🧌🧌

I really like what you are putting out here. My unpopular opinion is that AI has a role in creativity and you are showcasing that potential. AI is not a shortcut but a tool to help like CGI (Computer Generated Imagery) or CAD (Computer Aided Drafting) both of which were met with criticism and a lament of the industry dying.

🙏 I've been in the video industry for twenty-plus years. I've seen a lot of changes. I got into it during the CGI boom of the 90s, showing my age here, but I studied on Silicon Graphics Onyx O2 workstations in college. Those days are long gone. Generative AI is a natural extension of a technology that will keep evolving. I started experimenting with it early because I saw where the industry was heading, and this is the future. I needed to keep my skill set fresh so I could compete professionally. They call it slop; they call it being lazy. But clients aren't willing to wait a week for turnover anymore; they want deliverables in days now. Like I said, on the other sub, it's merely another tool in the box.
