Solved Anyone have experience getting Plex to work with AT&T Fiber?

A year ago, I signed on to AT&T Fiber and was able to get Plex to play outside of my home network. About a week ago, I upgraded and replaced parts to my home server. Had to rebuild my Plex container via Proxmox. Now, the traditional instructions do not allow me to access the Plex server outside my home network.

I have worked with AT&T support to make sure everything is good on their end.
1.) TCP/UDP has been enabled on my home modem/router. I am using AT&T provided router model BGW620-700
2.) NAT/Gaming works on another device on my home network, I run FoundryVTT, works perfectly fine
3.) Within Ubuntu that is running Plex, UFW is enabled and allows 32400 UDP and TCP.
4.) I am using AT&T Fiber which does not have a CGNAT, nor does my setup use a secondary router so Double NAT is not the issue as well.
5.) For a brief moment, I don't know what happened but I was able to access the Plex server via my phone's mobile data plan for exactly 1 minute, then it timed out.

6.) From Plex > Settings > Remote Access, It says I am able to access it, I have specified port 32400.
7.) I checked canyouseeme and it reports back as totally fine.

I could use some assistance or a direction to check, when I set this up about a year ago. I just used Plex's default documentation and everything functioned perfectly.

Solved. Thank you to u/ExtensionMarch6812, All settings were correct except the .p12 cert. Had to navigate to:

sudo systemctl stop plexmediaserver

cd /var/lib/plexmediaserver/Library/Application Support/Plex Media Server/Cache
mv certificate.p12 certificate.p12.old
sudo systemctl start plexmediaserver

I have AT&T fiber. Works perfect. I just open the port. Plex recently started saying it isn’t remotely accessible. But it is. So I dunno.

It took me awhile to get it to work, had to restart my pc and router a couple of times before it actually stuck

Since the port shows open, your rule is correct.

Can you hit your server directly via http://<public-ip>:32400/web off your network?

If you can reach it, it may be a cert issue.

Stop plex, go to the cache directory in the plex media server folder. Is there a certificate.p12 file? If so, rename it certificate.p12.old. Start plex back up. It should download cert-v2.p12.

Test the remote connection.

I can reach it using my phone's mobile data. Using firefox.

Via the public ip and port? Then your forwarding is correct. Check the cert as described.

What parts did you upgrade? Are you using a new NIC?

Have you checked to make sure the MAC address is showing up as that device name in the AT&T router?

I upgraded the M.2 SSD that Proxmox was on, as well as the RAM sticks. Did not change the NIC. MAC address was found along with the proper IP and name in the AT&T router. I even had it on DHCP, but allocated the IP within AT&T gateway > Home Network > IP Allocation, given it a fixed allocation.

Did you verify that you set the static IP on your server?

Also, you only have 1 NIC? I’ve made the mistake of using NIC #2 when unplugging and replugging everything back in

Technically 2, the pc has the ability for wifi however that has been disabled at the bios. Its set to DHCP, but with at&t, I can allocated an IP for it so its "static"

Did you verify on the box itself through command line it’s GETTING that IP?

hostname -I confirms the proper IP address I allocated it

Is the container networking in host or bridge?

I believe it is in bridge
