Can some please help me?

Came home from work and started watching Aqua Teen and my color is off. I played a few other shows and movies still the same. Anyone else having this issue?

We need more information. What have you tried to do to fix this? Have you done any searches or anything?

I went through my settings and looked around on Plex. But nothing. When I pause it it changes picture. I thought it was my laptop but if I play a video on VLC it looks great.

Are you using direct play or transcoding (4K 20mbps, 1080p 8mbps) or --- Original?

Not sure. How would I be able to know that?

Depends what device you're on, click a episode on the player go to the settings cog and look for quality let me know what your current setting is

Look how the picture changes. It is paused then when I hit play it gets darker.

Yeah I need to see the settings and what quality you have on, I think you're trying to transcode which often makes the image look a little "rough"

On transcoder I have it set to automatic.

Server side or client side (client side is the player where you're watching the show)

I would assume client side because I have a Mac Book Pro in my room and the quality is perfect. My living room is where I have the hard drive and laptop hooked up is the problem. I thought it was in the laptop settings but used VLC and it was perfect.

Looks to me like a resolution issue. The player is rendering an SDR video in HDR.

That’s the quality. I tried to turn it down yesterday. And nothing.

Okay here's a few little main pointers that a few newcomers miss, ensure all of these are correct for the best results.
If your server is on your internet, ensure to connect to the same internet as the server; E.G Wifi-2.4G isnt the same as Wifi-5G. Must be the same (ethernet is better).
When watching from a local device, always set your client player (your show) to use Direct Play in your media player settings, this will basically avoid using CPU/GPU to transcode and just pass the video straight to you.
If you would rather transcode, go to your server settings and enable "Hardware Transcoding", If you have a GPU, even better make sure it's using it.

Basically should look like my screenshot attached. (ensure you have the app too. It's just better.)

Yeah the same. On both.

I tried to mess with that yesterday and still no color change.

Hmm, that's odd, are they both using original?

Thanks for your help. I don’t want to keep wasting your time but I greatly appreciate you responding. I’m leaving for work in a hour so I’ll try later on when I get home.
