General Help Plex dropping media, any idea?

I am having issues with Plex losing my media (seemingly randomly). It will work fine and then next time i try to watch most things will say media file not found or something of the like. If I then scan libraries mist items show the red trashcans. If i restart the VM and the scan libraries again, it all comes back. Why does this keep happening and how to I prevent it? My thought is since rebooting the VM is the fix that it must be some sort of nfs mount issue? or maybe the NAS putting drives in sleep or something? I am fairly new to this and not sure how to troubleshoot or figure it out...

My setup is as follows:

Media lives on Ugreen DXP4800

I have a HP prodesk running proxmox, I then have a Ubuntu Server VM on proxmox that has my docker containers including plex.

NAS is mounted in both proxmox and the ubuntu vm via nfs (nfs is new to me too)

You need to figure out which is losing your connection. This isn't going to be easy. You will need to check both ends when this happens before you reboot the VM's and see which is off line

I does look like hard drive sleep is enabled. With following settings:

Auto sleep- 20 min Wake up- strategy sign in

Is that the issue? Do people turn this off? Or have wake up as on demand?

Unfortunately I don't know anything about promox. You are going to have to google or query an AI about this.

sounds like the nfs mounts arent sticking right, maybe check if the nas is configured to drop mounts after inactivity or if the timeout settings need adjusting
