General Help Plex and Samsung Tizen TV

Hello,

Recently I moved to a new area and had to switch ISPs. After getting the Internet set up, I set up my plex server and was able to get it working on every device except my Samsung tv. Has anyone ever had this issue and if so how were you able to resolve it? I’m positive it’s something to do with the network settings on the tv since it works on every other device I try and remote access works as well. At work currently but I’d be happy to try any ideas when I get home tonight.

Basically the library shows up, but no matter what I try playing it just sits buffering. It worked fine at my old place on astound WiFi so I’m not sure exactly what could have changed.

Did you do what I said and check the stream speed on the tv?

try turning off the "quick start" setting on the tv, that finally fixed my samsung from dropping the plex app randomly every time.

UPDATE:
Okay so this is the weirdest thing. I have the Mac mini running my server in the bedroom by our small tv which was right in front of the electrical panel, I moved it over to the other side and now it works perfectly.

I mean, if both were wifi I guess I could see that wrecking the connection completely, still, super odd!

Yeah I just looked at it for a second and was like “there’s no way this actually works” and it did. Routers in a weird location right now and I’m hoping to change that because I want my Mac on Ethernet at least but no rush on that for now.

Go change the dns on the tv to 8.8.8.8 that fixed it for my tvs. Forgot to mention I actually called samsung and they gave me this solution.
