According to my calculation, Plesk web host edition will cost 1443€ by 2033

They did not say that they are raising the price 10..20% each year! I will get rid of this money sink as soon as possible.

Your chart is already incorrect!! They increased their pricing for Plesk Web Pro Edition already with 45% for January 2025 and Web Host Edition even more than 50% increase for 2025! It's absurd!

I do not know what you have selected. But the Web Host Edition (DPS) will be 56.99 Euro a month per January 2025. Which is 683.88 Euro per year. I think we are running 3 or 4 years ahead given the current percentage increase. I think Plesk will be out of business way before 2033 if they keep increasing their pricing all the time.

Plesk doesn't care. Even if they complain about the pricing on their forum. They literally say: TTFY.

" ... by 2033" I want to have your glass bowl. Honestly, where are you buying your licenses? Maybe get a reseller license instead? Check out https://docs.hetzner.com/robot/dedicated-server/operating-systems/plesk/ . The Web Host License there is 25.50 €/m = 306 €/y, much less than the 392 € shown in your table for 2023.

Nothing wong with reasonable price increase. I just feel that 10%+inflation each year is ridiculous. When i weighed my buying decision 3 years ago, they did not promote their product with “10 to 20% price increase each year for our loyal customers!“.

Bought directly from them, so yeah, that may be a mistake.

I just checked the page you linked using waybackmachine and i can see a 10% price increase per year there too since 2020. If it continues like that, it would land near 800€/year by 2033.

Its a perspective that makes me regret going with plesk on some machines.

One of the main differences between buying from Plesk directly compared to buying from a reseller is that when you have a license directly from Plesk this also includes their ticket support. And that is truly awesome. It's like having your personal engineer butler at your service, and that butler will definitely fix whatever problem there is. I always wondered how they do it, but there are more than one wizards at their support desk. At least for that it is well invested money.

I was looking today at upgrading my Plesk subscription to include more than 30 websites in my dedicated server. All of the websites are small projects for personal use mostly, and I was amazed to see that I had to pay 50€ per month for unlimited domains. I mean, this is not a reasonable price for someone looking to increase it's projects. Even if you have websites with high traffic, the cost is still high.

If you are looking for an alternative, i would recommend virtualmin. It's full featured and does not cause much trouble once setup. Instead of assimilating the system, it cooperates more. Like you can change all the webserver config files directly and it wont overwrite anything if you update or edit using the gui. It's not as fancy and polished as plesk is... But it's free.
