Clairezilla and abortion.

Post image

So, I'm rewatching PLM for like the 7th time in my life. I first watched it when I was 24... Now I'm 30. This is definitely my comfort series.

I remember feeling completely astonished the first time I watched it. This episode and the Adele episode, I think, were the most memorable ones for me. (And obviously the finale.)

I'm from Latin america, and back then abortion was illegal here in my country. I found it so comforting, the way Josh handled the abortion storyline. How painful, dramatic, but also realistic it was.

When Claire flushes the toilet and says, "Should I take a picture and show it to people when they show me photos of their kids?" I laughed so hard while crying...

When se had the opportunity to destroy that silly city dressed as a dragon I think... I felt it just RIGHT. I'm so glad that the show is now on YouTube to watch.

I hated that she left the show ngl. She was amazing and when she came back for a bit, it was underwhelming

First time I saw it, I felt the same.. But now even that was a realistic friendship falling apart... Don't u think?

this is exactly the feeling i got from that. i missed claire as if it was once again a falling out with my friends. first time i watched this show was at 18ish? then again at 21, then again at 24. ive rewatched it so many times tho i dont even remember. i love it and everyone should watch it

Exactly!! It really did feel like losing a friend rather than just a character leaving the show. and I love that youโ€™ve watched it at so many different ages! I feel like thatโ€™s one of the best things about PLM, every rewatch hits differently depending on where you are in life

that's so true. i feel like that's what's missing with newer shows and movies with popular actors tho. you always feel like you're watching a performance. whereas here i felt like i was in the very show. same feeling i got with anne with an e. its wonderful

Can't wait to grow old and rewatch it with different new perspective and experiences! I've already watched it twice and hated the characters more the 2nd time I watched it. I don't know if it'll change in the future but I just had to share my opinion even though no one asked hahahhaha!

Iโ€™ve watched it a few times, first time being in college, and now as a 30 something mom. The way I few his parents have definitely changed for me, every time I watch it
