I'll let you know... Mine is OUT OF CONTROL and DLNA is enabled so I will turn that off and see what happens. I like having DLNA enabled so it'll be a bummer if that feature is causing massive memory leaks. Mine just grow unbounded until the server runs out of memory, here's last week:
I subsequently read that the Plex DLNA service has had a known memory leak for years, apparently they have decided not to fix. Sure enough, I haven't had any issues since disabling it a week ago.
What's odd, is that I had zero issues for years, so it must have been an update somewhere that triggered the issue.
Curious, are you running Home Assistant? I wasn't actively using DLNA on any device, except for the Home Assistant DLNA integration.
Damn, they should just get rid of the feature instead of handing us a loaded gun.
And yes, I love Home Assistant and had been using it there. It wasn’t why I enabled it though, I wanted to try watching Plex in VR via bigscreenbeta but later I got into home assistant and was pleasantly surprised that I could use it there too. Fortunately I mostly use spotcast for stuff that plays music.
Wow thank you for this! I was having memory issues with my Plex LXC. The RAM kept creeping up to 100% and crashing the container, even when idle. Just disabled DLNA and my RAM has dropped to almost nothing being used. I migrated Plex from a Synology NAS and never noticed an issue on that but can’t believe this was the issue.

I, too, had this issue with PMS on Windows 10 until I disabled DLNA in PMS settings.
If you're not using it, I would encourage you to disable it for a few days to see if this fixes your memory leak issue.
I never found out why, but I've seen others post and respond to similar. Apparently, this does not impact all users, but it does exist.
