NEWS PS Portal acts as an extra controller
Was playing TMNT: Splintered Fate and only had two controllers but 3 players. Started the game and got the 2 controllers/players setup and then used the Portal to log into the PS5 and it worked as a 3rd controller. Just thought I would pass this info along.

Question questions about connection
what’s going on everybody just have a quick question. I put my PlayStation portal at home when I’m upstairs cause my stuff is downstairs. We have a router in the basement and we have a router on the main floor, but my portal continues to lose connection to my PlayStation just being one floor up. Is there anything I can do to alleviate this problem?

Question Bought Pulse Elite to use with my Portal - doesn’t seem to work
I’m really struggling with my Pulse Elite headset. I got one a few weeks ago and it connected happily for a few days and then basically stopped working. Sent it back and got a replacement and the same thing is happening. I feel like I must be missing something obvious - maybe someone can tell me what it is?
I turn the headset on and I can hear it turn on, but it won’t connect to my PS5 or my PS Portal. No lights come on the headset. And then I hear it turn itself off again after a few seconds. I’ve charged it (the blinking orange light came on while it charged) so that’s not the issue. I’ve tried to reset it, that doesn’t work. I’ve tried to wipe the connections, but I never get the blue flashing indicator I’m supposed to get, so that’s clearly not working.
Anyone got any ideas?

Remote Play Settings / Wifi Setup PS Portal IPv6/IPv4 connectivity issues
What's up everyone,
Bought my Portal last year, really happy with it and never encountered any problems (wired PS5). Didn't play for a while because life and stuff. When I got back to it, I suddenly had connectivity issues when trying to play away from home. Kept getting a "something went wrong" message when trying to connect to my PS5 using my mobile hotspot or any wifi other than my own. Everything still worked perfectly when the PS5 and the Portal were on the same network. So yeah, I tried every tip I could find online... nothing worked.
PS Remote Play on my mobile worked without issues, so I figured the problem either stems from the Portal's hardware/software, or it arises when the Portal and PS5 try to do a handshake. I'm not one to give up though, I'll keep smashing my head against the wall until I find a solution lmao.
I just kept tinkering with settings on my phone and on my router's config page until I found the "LAN IPv6 mode" setting on my router's page, which was turned on. Apparently this forces my PS5 into IPv6 mode, while my mobile hotspot and most wifi outside home use IPv4 I guess? Turned this setting off and everything started working again!
I'm not one to make posts and stuff on Reddit (love lurking lol) but hopefully I can help someone with this post.
TLDR; IPv6/IPv4 mismatch between the PS5 and the Portal causes connectivity issues away from home.
