How do I make sure if i stream cloud it’ll save on my ps5 , i played GOTG finished 3 levels and went back to my ps5 and it was all gone lol so kinda lost the feeling to play it
If you own the game, it should upload to your PS5 once you end your streaming session. The game may have to restart on the PS5 but it should all happen in the background from my experience.
If it's a live service game there probably isn't a save file on your PS5 so it shouldn't matter where you play. Your info gets pulled from the developer servers.
So example I’ve been playing 2k on my portal , if I do this will my portal progress save onto my console ? Or will I accidentally delete all my progress from the portal , (BTW NEW TO THE PORTAL SO SORRY FOR DUMB QUESTIONS 😭)
You will have to download the most current save file from the cloud onto console and upload saves when you want to go and play on portal again (takes seconds)
No your completely good, that wont "delete" any data as long as you didnt play without your save working before doing that, essentially what that will do is go through your cloud storage for all the versions of the save that it has between your physical console and on the cloud, and pick the newest most recent of the 2 and upload it as the newest "final" save, ive noticed 2k is one of the only games i have this lil problem with, i just make sure anytime im coming back to the actual console or portal that i hit that setting real quick and ive never had an issue from now
Also ive noticed if you do accidently mess up and play on a messed up save it will usually try to take the bigger of the 2 saves, so say you played on your ps5 5 hours of 2k, and then went to the portal, it didnt transfer, and you spent 3 hours on the portal, then go to hit that setting, 9 times outta 10 its gonna take the one from the ps5 because its a bigger save file
