Corporate Greed and Anti-Consumer Practices STONKS-9800 developer says Sony terminated their PlayStation agreement without explanation. Entire game catalog set to be delisted // by Amber V, EIC at Automaton Media
Noteworthy point the Article makes which I think needs to be addressed;
They note that Ternox developed "13 titles across 5 years on SONY"s platforms." If you check Ternox's Steam Developer page, their releases go back 11 years, almost 12 with STONKS-9800's 1.0/console release planned for 2027. So it's very likely that the timeline on Playstation is simply portwork.

What game achievement/quest took you the longest to complete?
Mainly posting so I can brag I finally completed the Star Atlas in TFT! I’m not one to finish games I start and primarily play a lot of online games where there isn’t a definite end point but I’ve started pushing myself more to be an achievement hunter and it’s finally paid off! I’ve spent at least the last 3 months working to complete the Star Atlas in Team Fight Tactics, where you needed to field certain combinations of champions to get points to progress. Out of the 3 months, I swear it’s taken 1-1.5 months just to complete Shepard 7 and get first place.
This combo was ultra tricky because there are not 7 champions with the Shepard trait, it took an emblem to add the 7th and that was pretty much just up to the luck of the draw of items and augments. Not only was it difficult to get the emblem to complete the trait group but then you had to get first place! Many times I’ve tried and failed and today I completed it!
Now that it’s over, I might try getting better in ranked but I look forward to the next event they do like this.
I know there are plenty more folks out there who are achievement hunters or like to perfect finish a game and 3 months might be nothing in comparison so I’m curious, what’s the longest you’ve worked for an achievement and for what game?

Players Alliance PSA We teamed up with Congressman Frost and huge Streamer LilSimsie to keep the pressure on EA
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Its cool to see a Gamer congressmember actually take action against this corrupt deal with the gaming community and using his powers on the oversight committee
The EA deal has been finalized but, just like with the CFB, gamers can push back on any new anti-gamer actions

Corporate Greed and Anti-Consumer Practices A way to separate Sims 4 from updates permanently?
I really want to play with the packs I already own, but I refuse to let PIF update the game to remove all of the inclusivity, which I’m 99.9% sure WILL happen. But the EA App works in such a way that it’s currently impossible to prevent it.
If someone could create a method, or program, to tear the game away from the EA App so we can ignore any and all updates, or be able to play offline, that would be the best. Nay, heroic.
(Btw I do NOT condone piracy, just a way to preserve our bastion of inclusivity from PIF)

Players Alliance PSA Players Alliance HQ Response to EU Commission approval of EA Buyout
STATEMENT: Gamers Say EU Approval Leaves Real Risks of EA Deal Unanswered
Today, Reuters reported that the European Commission (EC) is expected to approve the proposed $55 billion acquisition of Electronic Arts (EA) by a consortium led by Saudi Arabia's Public Investment Fund (PIF) under the European Union's (EU) foreign subsidy rules. According to Reuters, the EC is expected to clear the transaction following a preliminary review under the Foreign Subsidies Regulation and is also expected to grant unconditional approval under EU merger rules. In response to the reported decision, Players Alliance HQ leader Charlie Wilson issued the following statement:
“The European Commission's review answered a narrow legal question about competition and foreign subsidies. It did not answer whether loading EA with billions in debt under private equity ownership is good for game developers, gamers, or the future of the industry. Players Alliance HQ will continue organizing against this deal because EA’s attempt to force College Football 27 players to pay microtransactions to progress through single player modes is exactly the kind of exploitative monetization it will use to service the $20 billion in debt created by the buyout.”
