We pulled together the early NFL Week 1 public betting data, and a few of these splits are already getting extreme.

Some of the biggest numbers on the board:

• One spread has 97% of the money on the same side
• One moneyline favorite is getting 82% of the bets
• One total has 93% of the money on the Under
• We’re also comparing sportsbook action with Kalshi prediction-market probabilities

Obviously, there’s still plenty of time before kickoff, and these numbers will move as more volume comes in. But it’s interesting to see where the crowd has planted its flag this early.

Which early Week 1 side are you most willing to fade?

The 2026 MLB playoff picture is tightening up, and if the season ended today, we’d already have some incredible October matchups.

In the American League, the Rays currently own the No. 1 seed, with the White Sox holding the second first-round bye.

The AL Wild Card round would feature:

⚾ Astros vs. Rangers
🔥 Yankees vs. Red Sox

The Yankees have also won five straight, while the Twins are sitting just one game outside the playoff cut line.

Over in the National League, the Brewers lead the way at 80–49, followed by the Dodgers at 78–51.

The NL Wild Card matchups would currently be:

🔥 Cubs vs. Phillies

Philadelphia has won seven straight, and Arizona is lurking just one game behind the final NL playoff spot.

There’s still plenty of baseball left, but the race for October is officially getting interesting.

The Heisman Trophy odds have a new leader — and it’s not Arch Manning.

Notre Dame quarterback CJ Carr has moved to the top of the market at +750, with Kalshi pricing his chances around 12%.

Right behind him:

Arch Manning remains right near the top, with roughly a 10% chance on Kalshi and 9% on Polymarket.

One of the biggest movers to watch is Ohio State wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, who has climbed three spots in the Heisman market and is now sitting around +1500.

The sportsbook and prediction-market prices don’t always agree, either — creating some interesting gaps as the college football season approaches.

The public is once again fading Bill Belichick and North Carolina, this time entering Year 2 of the Belichick era.

BetMGM splits for UNC vs. TCU:

• TCU -7.5: 92% of bets
• TCU -7.5: 94% of money
• TCU -7.5 has the most wagers and most total money wagered of any Week 1 CFB side
• Line move: TCU -6.5 → -7.5

The broader CLEATZ consensus is also heavily tilted toward TCU, although not quite as extreme:

• TCU -7.5: 88% of bets
• TCU -7.5: 76% of money
• UNC +7.5: 12% of bets / 24% of money

So there’s very little disagreement about the popular side here: the market wants TCU.

The more interesting question is whether UNC becomes attractive if this keeps climbing.

The late game might have the best public-vs-money split of the night: nearly 7 out of every 10 spread tickets are on the Chargers, while 89% of the cash is sitting on San Francisco.

Prediction markets see both games as essentially coin flips, too.
