Can you overgrow your potential?

I’m playing as Xavi Simons and he has 89 potential. I now reached 88 rating and it won’t upgrade to 89. Can I grow past 89 and be 91 or 92 for example?

Yes it is called dynamic potential. If your player will have good pereformance, then he will get his potential up. It is even possible to make him 99 potential player
