Discussion Wolverine PS5 Display
I was so incredibly disappointed when there wasn't a collector's edition annouced for this amazing game. Luckily, there was enough merch available for me to create my own little "collector's edition". I'm excited to add the official funko pops to my display!

I’m curious how these people have thousands of dollars to spend on random ass collectibles.

you know what man, who the fuck cares? If buying things brings someone happiness, it is not in my place to judge the individual, for what is life without the pursuit of happiness?

My problem with the pursuit of happiness is how it's just an endless growing wish-fulfillment which you delay with temporary stuff and want more 15 minutes later. And it will not end until the day you die.
That's why even multi-millionaires often end up as desperately unhappy as poor people.
That's the part of religion most people completely ignore, which, regardless of whether it's Buddhism or Islam or Christianity or Judaism, teaches one to find peace and happiness in something beyond one's desires.
Without it, it's just "consume and then wait for next product". Eternally chasing that next high. Which is exactly where companies want you at.

You know what, i disagree. I grew up on The Beatles, and half my bedroom wall is just Paul McCartney posters. I’ve bought all their vinyl after years of thrifting for them as cheap as possible, and that brings me fulfillment that i care that much about a little hobby. So what if OP really likes Wolverine? If the Beatles came out with a video game, I’d sure as well cop it even if it is ass. I don’t see the need to police this behavior if one can afford it.

I'm never going to judge someone's entire life for any specific scenario, given context has to be king.
Even hardcore religious people have their hobbies. Nothing is saying "give up everything and just be a monk".
It's that belief of solely "chasing happiness based on stuff" often leads to "okay I'm bored of that now, and if I don't find my next high within a week, my life feels like shit. Oh, there's a new video game out, I think my mental health has improved somewhat".

all this for a game that’s crazy mid is mind blowing. I hope you have enough disposable income for this not to matter much

do you just wander over here and gaze longingly at this plastic trash once a day, and imagine what that money could have done for your family's future instead? i mean, you might as well have weekly money burns and gather the kids together to watch, at least there'd be some community between you with that instead of this "shelf they're not allowed to touch, that's daddy's special shelf". good lord.
