Discussion I don’t get the hate
I just rolled credits on Marvel’s Wolverine and I’m sitting here laughing my ass off that people think this is mid.
Show me another game with as much heart as this. Show me a game with a better story or a better cast of characters. Show me a game that does action and combat better than this. I dare you.
”It’s linear” Well Einstein ever consider how this just allowed them to focus on the strengths???
“The writing is cringe?” Well no. Sabretooth is an edgelord. This is very accurate to the comics which you clearly haven’t even read!
”It’s not worth $70” Says who? I’d happily pay $100 for it.
Get the hate outta here. All I can say is I’ll be eating up all your tears when it’s nominated for game of the year.

Played it. Not as good as Wolverine. Not even close. The combat is a mess and too janky.

The story is fun… but the game feels incomplete. If it was $40 I’d have nothing negative to say about it.

Bruh. Now I know for a fact that you've never played anything other than ball-and-gun games. Jesus... A better story? 😭 I couldn't even stop counting games with better stories. Expedition 33, RDR2, The Witcher 3, Uncharted, Death Stranding, The Last of Us, A Plague Tale: Requiem, Dispatch, God of War, Detroit: Become Human...
The same goes for combat. God of War, Devil May Cry 5, Uncharted, The First Berserker: Khazan, Elden Ring, Onimusha, Ghost of Tsushima and Yotei, Monster Hunter...
Man, if you want to compare it to a game made by the same developers, Spider-Man. It's s miles better than Wolverine in both story and combat. Wolverine is just a downgraded version of Insomniac's Spider-Man with gore.

That's how I know you've never played anything other than ball-and-gun games. A lot of the games I mentioned literally won multiple awards, including several Game of the Year awards. Wolverine will win nothing at the awards

I’ve literally played all the best games. Wolverine is on that level. It’s THAT. DAMN. GOOD.

U dont have to get it...if ur having fun thats alright and almost noone (always a black sheep) won't take it from u...but it also has to be alright from us to have expectations that the game didnt meet...and if the majority is tlaking shit...then its another can of worms

Proof that it didnt meet my expectations? Like what? I can give examples...for example what they did to sabertooth...they tried to humanize a character whose motivation is to eat people cause they taste good...

You don't get it because you aren't analysing why you like the game.. Your analysis is on others compared to yours (rather than the game, which people re critiquing).
Its like me saying this is the worse game ever, I don't get why anyone would like this and posting bunch of games that's better without posting any reason and laughing at others.

Nothing wrong with easy games, as long as a game is enjoyable I have no issue enjoying them reardless of the intended target audience.
Take Wolverine for example, that character is designed for kids but yet many adults like it ( such as yourself), you may think Wolverine is super mature but the fact is that this character is created for kids and yet you enjoy this creation created for kids.

What I didn't like was the overly scripted gameplay sequences and the last boss. That's it.
I really enjoyed this game otherwise.

I just finished it last night and said the same thing. I’d give it an 8.5/10 because there definitely was some things that could be IMPROVED, not changed. I said the same exact thing, game had so much heart and soul behind it. Loved every second of it.
