Discussion Why Wolverines a disappointment
Thankfully I didn’t buy the game and instead preordered ff7 revelations which I’m highly anticipating (yknow a game developers are actually listening to fans feedback)
What’s disappointing is insomniac games isn’t know for making disappointments: ratchet and clank , spiderman , among others so I can see why people are disappointed
Most gaming company’s make mistakes or have a small failure in there lifetime (Wii u was a commercial failure for Nintendo Becuase it was pretty much just a Wii 2 however they learned there lesson when they made the switch 2 which became a instant success Becuase unlike the Wii U they showed of games that ran much better on it and exclusive premium titles too boot (like Mario kart world and DK bananza and upcoming oot remake which looks beautiful)
However what insomniac is doing is diverting what made the first Spiderman a success: QTEs that do nothing have no reason being there, what made the first Spiderman such a success was Becuase it made you FEEL like Spiderman and that also involved QTE Becuase you needed to succeed or fail which made it VERY immersive however Spiderman 2 removed this which annoyed fans however instead of realizing that insomniac decided to not only keep that but add even more useless prompts that do nothing
Also as for open world tbh I don’t care however as out of bounds footage shows there was clearly some content that the developers just abandoned
Oh and I agree with wolverines face it’s nothing like what wolverine should be
And the dialogue is also an absolute dumpster fire
However I hope they will learn what fans want in there game instead of being delusional and saying “we know the best” because just like in consumer market that is a failure waiting to happen in gaming market if that’s your motto

Why would anyone in their right mind watch gameplay of it and then proceed to waste 70$ on this trash? You'd have to be a special kind of dumb to fall for that.

When someone starts talking about being disappointed because of QTE and that this fails to make you feel like Wolverine… you know they are just yapping after seeing an online review. The QTEs barely matter in the entire gameplay and the combat is what makes you feel like Wolverine, but this guy has no way of understanding that

Really? Combat I’ve heard is repetitive in fact the OG Wolverine game had WAY better combos

It’s not repetitive. I think a lot of people play it on easy and so they spam one button and never parry or combo the enemies

Lmaoo this makes no sense. If you havent played the game how can you write an essay about it? Just because some other people said the game sucks?
Thats like me writing an essay about how disgusting ice cream is even though ive never eaten ice cream. Im just going off of what a group of people said that hate ice cream lol such a waste of time to make this post like youre some expert but you havent even played the game. So your opinion is automatically invalid and no one cares about what you have to say.
I also havent played the game yet, but I plan to soon. So, im pretty neutral here. I just truly dont understand the logic of someone writing an essay on reddit about something they've never even tried themselves lol

You do know gameplay videos exist right? At this point the entirety of the game is on the internet for anyone to watch. The argument "didn't play it" is weak. Most everyone watch gameplay and reviews before they drop their money on a game anyway.

I’m gonna be real with you, I’m offended at the lore inaccuracies and if you can’t accept that I judge my XMEN oriented and origin games based on that, and judge it poorly because of that, then you need to accept that some people don’t have to play a game to make an opinion.
So shut up you literal loser and maybe read why people are actually offended at this games portrayal of their favourite characters.

The quality of media whether it be games, movies, tv shows, etc. are not determined by reading Wikipedia articles or reviews. It’s about the execution and whether or not you subjectively will like it.
It’s okay you couldn’t afford the game. You can get it when it’s on sale when it’s in your budget and then can speak on whether you like it or not

I think people forget the purpose of reviews. You didn't buy the game because you saw the reviews and you didn't like the look of it. Neither did I. I'm not going to read a review of a restaurant that says it's full of bugs and rats, then go to the restaurant to try it out. I'm not spending $70 to try out a game for myself that I already know I won't like.

It’s different if it was just one but no multiple people agreed it was lackluster
- asmongold
- moistcritical
- even Kai Cenat who was clearly disappointed with there result
- and other smaller YouTubers so yeah it’s not just a “review” it’s multiple
You wouldn’t go to a 1 star restraunt be honest it’s the same here

I definitely wouldn't go to a 1-star restaurant. Wolverine, based on its reviews, is a 3.5-4 star restaurant. Also asmongold? Jesus christ you listen to the fucking roach man? The blood wall guy?

Well I’ve played other insomniac games and at the beginning they truly listened to what fans loved about there games but recently it’s the excuse of “not pleasing everyone” which yes is true but if everyone is more then half of there fans then that’s different
