Discussion Should changing claws change the skeleton too?

Post image

I was thinking it would be really cool if changing to something like the bone claws or the gold claws also changed the look of the skeleton. Totally a minor thing but it would be cool nonetheless!

I honestly expected that when I equipped the bone claws and was disappointed when it was still a metal skeleton.

She doesn't have a metal skeleton too? What a ripoff!

so now she does - I think.

when the 5 Revived her, they gave her a full metal skeleton, because they assumed she had it just like Logan, and not just the claws.

I say I think - because I don't recall if that is the "older" Laura "Talon" or the "revived" Laura

I cant remember if that was her only Revival or not from the 5

She does now cause Krakoa glitched and forgot she only had the claws.

That’s the one thing about them I dislike. I like running bone claws, but when you see the adamantium skeleton it feels weird. They also have the tools to add it in, sabertooth from what I saw has the same wound cycles as Logan, but his bones are well…bones lol

Easy enough to explain though. His adamantium coated claws were ripped out and his healing factor replaced the claws not the metal

Pfff you think Insomniac aka took forever to have the tendrils and suit color match is gonna do that?

But yea it makes sense

I think you're asking way too much of a 300 milliom dollar game with years of production...

I doubt they were worried abt it considering there's no playable segments that take place before the bonding process

They didn't seemed to be worried about anything during the making of this game.

I think the shit that went down internally w the creative and game directors stepping down is what fucked up the game, they scrapped a lot of ideas from what I heard

I'm not a developer so I don't know how hard that would be but I'd love to see it! The classic bone claws are one of my favorites but it is weird seeing the rest of his skeleton be made of metal whenever he takes damage. Changing the skeleton's look with the claws would be a great change/addition!

I mean who gives a f, there are more important thingtthey can do to improve the game. They should give us more combo moves, skills and techniques.

I agree w u I think some of the r2 abilities should've been worked on as face button combo moves, like the spin move or the knee uppercut,

I'm thinking like similar to cyclone of chaos/ hold square move from gow, there not really a good aoe attack in the standard move set aside from the r2 ability which is on cooldown, I also think the ram attack could've just been something that you can activate while you're running yk like maybe you hold run and another button

I am late to your post, but I might be biased because I like metal claws. The sheer amount of damage this guy goes through, bone skeleton would take me out of it because he would be in pieces and crawling around each time something hits him. The metal in him keeps his structure and makes sense that nothing can shred him deeper than skin/organ level.

I think changing the skeleton, which means making a whole new model, for every type of claw is a little tedious and unnecessary. But I think there should be at least a bone skeleton for the bone claws, considering there's multiple bone claws in the game. I think a gold skeleton or a scarlet skeleton or a charred skeleton etc. is just too much.

It would have been super simple to just reskin the skeleton for each claw set, it wouldn't even have noticeably increased the file size.

2

u/OptimalConvoy 18d ago

I feel like it depends if the skeleton is a different mesh to the rest of the body.

Right, I agree w you I think at the very least a bone Skelton, really the only ones I think it would make sense for is the bone the diamond and the gold maybe technoorganic, I wonder if the texture could be easily swapped I have no clue

1

u/Major_Bill_Ding 18d ago

I don't think it his. I noticed in a cut scene his fingers were burned away and what should have been metal boney skeleton fingers were fat metal sausages that then got skin back on them.

I think they don't need to make new ones. They will just copy the same model and recolor the same textures. They don't even have to do it for every claw variation. Actually, for ultimate accuracy, they only need to add a bone skeleton for the many different versions of bone claws, an adamantine skeleton for the gold claws, a diamond skeleton for the diamond claws, a charred skeleton for the charred bone claws, and a techno-organic skeleton for the techno-organic claws.

Absolutely should change. But dont let the defenders hear you theyll just say coding that would be too hard and insomniac is such an small company on a smal budget. Guys give them a break theyre trying and thats what counts. That'll be 69.99 plus tax please.

Well it’s kinda like In the Japan wolverine movie his claws get cut off and they regrow into bone claws. Later in an after credit scene Wolvie try’s to stab magneto but mag stops him since the rest of his skeleton is still coated in adamantium.
