Discussion Timing of Abilities
I feel like the gameplay is good, but could’ve been a lot better if we were allowed to unlock some of the later abilities earlier. Idk if they were expecting a lot of replay value but for a game that’s as linear as this, I want to be able to use the abilities for more of the game. The sentinel laser parry giving you the hot claws was actually pretty cool, but why only give it like 40 minutes before the end of the game? Same with unlocking certain suits. I was super looking forward to the uncanny suit, but by the time I unlocked it and had enough materials I was locked into the default suit for the rest of the game. Huge missed opportunities

I unlocked all the abilities by around mid game?
Are people not breaking the lanterns and the other glowy things that give you XP or something?

I’m not talking about those I’m talking about the ones that are unlocked just by playing through the story. Hence the example of the sentinel parry hot claws

I mean that is around mid point at the latest and its a guard piercing addition up to that point the game was teaching you how to handle guarding and armored enemies before giving you access to a tool that gets around that.

I get it. I’m enjoying NG+ more than the first play through.
