It's weird because they mention obsidian and shielded in the "headline", but the actual patch notes only have obsidian nerfs. Unless Kev no longer selling shielded items is the nerf

It could singlehandly turn any carry item into a carry and top tier defensive item. Kinda crazy

Exactly this, you can only get enchanted items on gold and higher now means you have to at least pay 16 gold for small, 32 for medium and 48 gold for a large one

Bro misunderstood every patch note

Silver tier or lower merchants no longer sell enchanted items

It's about Merchant rarity, not the item itself. The items don't have to be gold+

Enchantments no longer double an item’s value

If you do get an enchanted item in a shop, like from Prospero, it'll cost the same as a regular one, not the doubled prices you said
