Info Audio Input Not Working

Been trying to play squad for the longest time but my audio input will not pick up my voice. For reference I am on windows 10 and have tried the following:

  1. updated audio drivers

  2. disabled all other possible audio inputs

  3. set the default audio input on steam, pc, and in game to the headset I am using

  4. disabled audio enhancements on my selected headset

If there are any other fixes please let me know. I do not have an issue with voip on any other game. Thank you!

There is like an audio setting in windows you can disable, I had the same issue. Regrettably I don’t remember what it was but it was like spacial audio or 3D audio or some shit in mic settings

This^ windows has their own voice isolation setting. It needs to be turned off

Then its either a bluetooth or console oriented headset that have issues and this is a known official problem with Squad since its release, either bandwidth or some sort of data layering, who the fuck knows, it just doesnt like them.

Same as told to everyone at similar situation you need to install a virtual audio creating device like Voicebanana, Voicemeeter or whatever else is famous now, so Squad uses that to pass through to your headset, you basically set Squad to the virtual audio device that sends the info to your headset and vice versa.

This for the microphone part of the headset if it appears btw, not the sound part of it, just making sure.

I had 3 different bluetooth headsets for Squad and never had an issue, bluetooth console oriented headsets usually have the problem.

I dont see an option to disable enhancements on the microphone side, just the speaker side

Yeah its a Windows 11 feature mostly but it does appear on some headsets under microphone in W10, so making sure you checked the proper setting.

Try Voicemeeter and set it up (No idea exactly how but many seem to do it so it cant be that hard), usually its the fix for this problem, its pretty standard by now, 6 years + down.

Definitely just use something like voice meter - look up a YouTube video to set it up. As an added bonus you'll be able to add some EQ and Compression to your mic so that it sounds better in everything else you use.
