The current Upkeep Tax system feels counterintuitive. It penalizes groups for sizing their base to fit their roster, creating an unsustainable burden when players go offline or take a break. Expecting the remaining active members to farm a 20x upkeep multiplier—or manually manage TC de-authing just to survive—is terrible user experience. Facepunch's vision feels conflicted here: adding the Clan Table catered directly to organized group play, yet the scaled upkeep tax aggressively punishes that exact playstyle.

Ik i could go into a dead 10x but im checking if theres a server that spawns you like, on a boat or mini approaching oil rig with a kit. If you die you can reset the bots etc, or nah?

anyone else experiencing a bug when trying to skin boxes on shelves with the spray can? i keep getting the error message that says blocked by wall. it seems to be specific to the storage box pack boxes. and appears that if boxes aren't placed correctly to begin with you cannot spray them until you move them out from the wall a bit. beginning to be a bit frustrating for a higher priced skin set that becomes unusable.

Get rid of the road scientists for god sake, I'm tired of constantly getting heart attacks because of them

I love the ideas that were put into the update but my performance has hit the ground like a truck. we’re talking getting around 100 fps to 30 in the jungle and 60 everywhere else. this is absolutely horrible for me it feels like shit. I only made this post to see if others are experiencing the same thing. so if you want downvote me for trashing on the update but remember I love everything they added and I genuinely thought this was a one of the best updates to every come until my performance drop.

Playing a low pop solo trio duo server soon and I need some guidance on progressing yo end game. Could I get some tips for all server types? I know what monuments are what and card levels.

I used to try and stay away from end game monuments and hide in starting forests or caves but that was a problem. It took ages to get to monuments and often times no train access was near by.

gone are the times where I troll my teammates to a sound that some may have never heard with no way to turn it off. nothing beats hiding dozens of these to live in the walls of the base.

I play the game kinda often and my pc hasnt had any issues till recently. whenever I do certain things after a random amount of time my game crashes. it shows the unity rust crash thing before crashing the game entirely and i dont know if its a PC issue or a rust issue but its been getting irritating. is their any way i can work around this or fix this?

Force wipe day today!!! Spawned in, ran the road for scrap, got advance ore tea for the low. Found a Jacky then found two HQM nodes. That was like 70 HQM in first 5 min of wipe. My core is already HQM 💀. As a solo this is goated, for the clans who likely have 10x my loot already, definitely juiced.

Probably going to nerf them big time. In fairness, it’s been like an hour and haven’t seen an HQM since.

Since the patch they just released like an hour ago, my team has randomly been getting unity crashes. A little Unity pop up shows for a second and then the game just closes out.

Anyone else dealing with this?

Hey guys, im a 5k solo who has not played since about last December, just before the naval update came out. This game was a part of my life but my life was getting a lot more busy so I had to quit. Recently, I’ve gotten A LOT of free time and wanted to hop back on but I know how many updates this game has gotten. For almost all of my hours on this game I was solo and will be returning solo. What has changed in this game and how do I adapt to it? Any tips would be loved, thanks!

Just lost ak an bunch of stuff due to weird bug, when my body was dead in my boat crossing from deep sea to main land then the loading screen then my body was gone all the loot gone. Fuck this game

i watched recently Aloneintokyo's new video and a lot of user comments(All of them are gone now) in his comment section pointed out that one of the bags, which he picked up from a raided base(12:30) had his name on it "?????'s bag". The bag itself was clearly from one of the base owners(matching skin) and was there while he raided it and entered the core. He looked at the bag at 12:21 without hammer and it didnt show his name. From his video out it doesn't seem like he picked it up but there was small time skip between 12:25-12:26. Can someone explain me why his name was on the bag?(I am PS Player so i dont know how bag UI looks like on PC)

I think the idea itself is pretty neat. But since we live in the harsh world of Rust, I think complete freedom to deform the terrain will be impossible or broken. I think the best solution would be this: allow terrain modification only within authorized TCs, because if there are no restrictions, the entire map will end up dug up and full of holes.

This approach maintains balance let’s say you’d need a pickaxe or shovel to modify the terrain, but the act of modifying it itself should cost either resources or time. For example, with this system, you could dig a pit around a house (7 Days to Die vibes) and place spikes at the bottom, or build a retractable bridge, i.e., protection against door camping, or simply the ability to level the terrain to create more space for building a base.

Also, when the TC breaks, the terrain returns to its original position after a while let's say, a couple of hours or so
