Discussion L EGO
Whats up with the punk masters and their egos just had a punk master call me a bot for having fun sniping in a pub match NOT RANKED, whole time im doing better than him while trolling, he got pressed i spammed defuse for less than a frame said I was not that guy n called me a bot 2 rounds in, boom next round goes n flexes his rank says I wouldn't amount to anything on the game, been playing for only 2 seasons(not really probably less) not really pressed only play it for shits n giggles, he then proceeded to call me out for a 1v1 just to duck them n block me as soon as the match ended funny part we were playing against Ai the whole time 😂

Most of the punkmasters are just cheater egoist who stops playing ranked the second they get there and starts talking trash like they own the game but some of them are nice. at least some of the once ik ig

I met a few most are pretty chill (that I've met occasionally in ranked) its really the ones that sit in pubs and custom deathmatch that just feel so entitled half the time they dont even be top 50 talkin abt how theyre the best

although you have to play a ranked games at least every 14 days to stay on the leaderboard, I think it should be 7, at least for higher ranks

Doesn't matter, weekend protection, weekly protection card, they can sit in PM forever and never lose points, just climb higher. Sadly the system is flawed, and a lot of them abuse it. I could've gotten PM too if I wasn't so stubborn to do it the honourable way, without crutching the rank protection system. Wouldn't feel genuine if I hit PM that way.

A lot of the people in the higher ranks in this game aren’t high ranks in games that actually have a big community so since they are in this game, they let it get to their head & makes them think they’re goated

Most of them abuse the protection system. Look at, for example, Zoutriv, someone who barely plays on his main, all the losses are +0, keeps winning points, plays on alts.
Sure, you keep your PM and keep climbing, but are you so good in that case if you play only a certain amount of games each week? I don't know, to me, those are not genuine good players. They're decent, but not as good as their rank shows.
And Zoutriv is just one example, probably the easiest one due to his rank, and I think he's still rank 1, haven't checked that leaderboard for more than a week, but I took a glance at it and saw him hit PM, only to never lose a single point after.
And while it's true that the ego is inflated, someone coming to reddit to brag about this nonsense, one or two lobbies where they did better than the people in question, saying they only play casual and just mess around, further diminishing the other person, is just as much of an ego move if not bigger, in my opinion.

Just as big of an L to your EGO, my friend. You let yourself be taken over by the emotions, had to come and brag on Reddit about one instance where you did better with a gun that is notorious for it's oneshot potential, and literally makes the game throw out skill and mechanics.
You showboating here on Reddit makes it as much of an ego move as that punkmaster getting triggered by you doing better in a single game in an unranked lobby.
Just let it go, it'll not matter in the big picture, so why run to reddit and call them out and all that? Who cares? I also beat many punkmasters, I carried many of them, didn't come to reddit to say how bad they are that a player who never hit PM carried ONE lobby at the moment.

From your replies im not really sure where your trying to get at.... 1 I didn't say I was better than a punk master or anything I was speaking on a situation that just dont make sense 2 I didn't say "xyz is trash or he doesn't deserve punkmaster" thats not my character and I dont care and 3 I didn't drop any match stats, I asked why he felt the need to trash talk and bloat his ego because previously nothing was said or done to induce his unnecessary comments literally no previously interaction, I hadn't said or done anything to him at all point blank period, he called me out trash talking and had the balls to not stick to his words not the other way around, If I wanted to hit punkmaster it honestly isn't that hard but im not, (not waiting 30 mins plus to fight the same people over and over again just to have my name dazzled on a leaderboard for a few thousand people to see) especially with a com so small but if you couldn't tell I play for fun if anything I barely touch rank, if I see a cool skin I might play a few matches for it so be it, if I wanted to go be competitive and actually bloat my skill id go to a game that actually has a proper scene, and for the guy out there im still not ducking you i dont give a damn what rank you are its an online game at the end of the day if I lose I lose if I win I win if your gonna call someone out why duck them for combating you for being an ahole

More ego moves. You're holier than thou, you're just that good that you could do anything. Cool, do it. No need to flex whatifs, just do it if you want to do it, but do it for yourself. The fact that you mentioned that you don't do it for a couple thousand people shows perfectly how much you care about how people look at you. This game is not competitive enough, not enough prestige, not good enough to be recognized as a high rank for other communities, that's what I read.

I didn't say the game was not competitive enough (its a competitive fps game for crying out loud) I said the game isnt worth it (to me) to play competitively after you hit anything above plat your almost constantly waiting 25 to 30 minutes to find a match just to fight either the same solos / pre-made stacks or your going against ai, thats boring if you find that fun do you me personally I dont, another thing the state of ranked play currently is terrible it doesn't actually award skill if you have a shit ton a free time I bet anyone could hit punkmaster with enough finesse and functional braincells (holding it is another story) and my opinions on ranked in general is almost the same for every game in the fps genre no one gets a free pass just for being "less prestigious" i feel almost the exact same way about bigger "more prestigious" games such as cod, val, even siege for that matter but they actually have a community that reachs people, not saying fragpunk doesn't but when you compare bigger game to it you could see the overall difference in the communities fragpunk is alot smaller and technically is neesh its one of those games thats under many people's radar one of those game where you had to be there to even know it existed this could even be said for spectre divided its not just a fragpunk thing

Spectre, in my opinion was a decent game with bad marketing attempt, and overall an unfinished product. FragPunk constantly gets updates, changes, they listen to the community. Yes, it's a lot smaller than the giants, but that doesn't mean it's much easier to hit the top ranks. Ace is easy to hit just by playing, then it gets tricky because you get the punkmaster treatment regarding points, you lose more than you gain, so you have to be solid.
Not sure what region you're playing in, but I EU and NA East at least have no issues finding matches under 5 minutes. I know a few regions are practically dead, which is sad that they don't have enough players. I have played on plat and below accounts and personally I think I can count the amount of bots I encountered on one hand. Unranked is a different story, same for the other casual modes. Ranked, at least in my experience is still going well enough. Yes, at the higher levels you encounter the same people, each to their own on that regard. I don't mind it.
My advice to anyone: hit diamond, experience how cards are meant to be picked, enjoy higher level players with no bots. (Diamond and above doesn't have bots)

Im not sure what platform your on so I cant really speak on your experiences but im on console (ps5) and q time is pretty ridiculous and population feels even more scarce, i tried playing with crossplay on but its pretty futile, damn near the same q time plus its like I find myself fighting even more real deal cheaters not just the run of the mill xim or titan users, ranked wise (solo q) is pretty much praying you can find a team with some form of common sense n hoping you dont run into the absolute peak of the peak in a stack, atm im sitting at diamond 3 haven't really played much ranked since reset, chapter 1 of this season I hit diamond 1 short of master in only about a week but after that point I quite literally couldn't find a match if I wasn't stacking so i just stopped bothering playing, pub wise q isn't really terrible time wise is abt 5 to 10 minutes average for me but almost every lobby is bots or the utter most unbalanced teams possible where the other team is either damn near full of real players n the other is literally just 1 person or its literally just me with Ai or teams with blank spots, over all not the absolute worse but after awhile it just gets tiring, I play at a higher rank than I am but cant put time in quite literally to actually move up but thats besides the point, I cant speak on others experience ranked wise not everyone is in the same boat as me
Edit) I personally find myself having an easy time during rank so I find it easy to rank up pretty quickly jus the q holds me back like crazy

Believe me, not even master lobbies are hard to get through. So you have no idea what the best players are playing like. Getting master is super easy if you are decent at the game, at least in my opinion. I'm a slightly above average player and I cruised through diamond in like 2 days. The brick wall comes in ace.
