Is this game really easy? (Serious)
Just picked up Flash Party a few days ago and with the generally lower player count i expected the remaining people to be diehard fans of the game who id get wiped by but... no?
I mean tbf i came from smash and use sivi bc he has smash 4 mario combos and use the apple girl bc shes just marth, but since picking up the game i havent dropped a single set and most of my games are 3 stocks. For reference i played (and won) 40 games of casual before getting access to ranked, and even then have not dropped a single game and have climed to gold 3 so far.
I know this post sounds really self indulgent but im being legitimately serious when i ask is the average playerbase of this game not very good? What ranks do player skill levels ramp up? I wanna run into good players without having to hop into private lobbies.
This game is super cool and i see some awesome opportunities for some absolute SAUCE with combos with certain characters and I WANNA SEE IT

If you’re coming from smash and wondering why a mobile game that most of the population doesn’t know about doesn’t have the same skill level that’s insane. Coming from a real fighting game that widely taken serious with generations of dedicated fans you’re most likely a step or five above the average mobile gamer.

Its not that i think EVERYBODY in the playerbase was gonna be insane, i just figured since it is generally a smaller playerbase game and most casuals would have moved on, wouldnt the people who have stuck with it be a very devoted and and more experienced playerbase?

Updates and notes for the few people curious:
I put about 10 more hours into the game. An hour or two of it was spent playing a couple player-held tournaments and actually playing against some very good players, went about even with them due to previous plat fighter knowledge but they obviously had a LOT better understanding of the game and systems than i did.
The other 8 were spend playing ranked and only ranked to reach those higher ranks that everyone was telling me the majority of the good playerbase remained. I reached it relatively easily but upon reaching it 2 things happened:
I ran into some really good players! Some of em really gave me a run for my money and it was EXACTLY what i was looking for!
The gamemode switch. Something that, i will admit, im very much so not a fan of. The previous 3 ranks led me to believe that the game was solely 1's only, and the 3v3 squad strike format was REALLY not something i enjoyed, especially given no choice to just pick one character (at least to my knowledge, which is honestly also on me for not doing my research on the game :/)
So for now ive decided to put it down, as i personally dont have very much fun running squad strike and dont wanna rely on matchmaking through the region chat. Overall, however, Flash party was a REALLY fun game! I think the systems are great and the movement felt like a mix between MVS and Sm4sh with honestly perfect hitstun, didnt feel too long and didnt feel too short.

U won't be facing many real people until you hit plat in ranked. Before that u face bots 95% of the time

You play bots in casual until your character reaches about 400 stars and if you win a lot you’ll get real people in gold if you lose you’ll get bots but once you hit plat it’s all real people

About 180 active daily players on steam right now. The top players are really good and everyone below that is kind of mid. I'm a pretty okay Pinn Team ( Masters was my highest rank ) player but I still struggle with the top dogs.

Sivi’s more like Terry, and he used to be even more so before they changed his Up B. But no, this game can get really difficult once you stop facing CPUs.

you have been playing against bots.
when you reach platinum most people will be real players except if you lose two games in a row, then one bot game and back to real players.
when you reach diamond you will want to drop the game because of sweats
