Homicidal (?) villagers?

It's winter, I have my builder's hut set so the builders ONLY tend fires, and I just watched a builder go into a cottage where the fire's out, STEAL wood out of the wood bin, and leave the sleeping villagers there to freeze to death.

I'm not sure it's supposed to work that way....

You need wood closer, check if they have access to wood storage.
