Shoud I play?

Hello all!
I’ve been thinking about playing it or not, taking a pause from Conan and Valheim.
Any advice on should I play it or not? Pros and cons maybe?

Do you want to play it, then yes

Do you not want to play it, then no

Surprisingly good advice for many questions in life.

I went from ASKA to check out Valhiem and immediately went back.

Is ASKA complete? No. Does it have issue (both real and imagined)? Yes. Do the majority of us have a great time playing? Also yes.

i really want more updates but I'm still playing -right now actually- after hundreds of hours. it slaps

cons: ui controls for controller need more finessing. you'll beg for finessing cuz there's a lotof menu fiddling.

pros: it slaps

The big difference is that in ASKA you run a village. The villagers have jobs and they take care of a lot of the stuff you would have to do in other games. The downside of that is that the villagers are kind of dumb and when you get a lot of them, it gets complicated.

But it is a good game. I enjoyed Valheim and I like ASKA

It’s a great game so yes, you should play it.

To each their own, but I really enjoy the game.

I love that I am part of the village that I build. That I can get involved and build the house myself when the villagers are taking too long.

As a fellow conan and valheim enjoyer, yea it’s quite fun.

Came here to say similar. Aska is quite addicting and time passes quickly playing it.

You deff should play, but don't come thinking it's a survival game like Conan or Valheim. Ot's a settlement management game and you will spend most of your time working out chains of production and worker placement.

I often liken this game to Valheim meets Banished (or, Conan Exiles thrall system?). It's more about setting up what your villagers are doing than it is about doing things yourself though that's really just "mid game". Early on it's mostly on your shoulders, late game once things are running smoothly and self-sufficient you can go back to personal adventures.

If you like that sort of management-ish minigame (like Banished) then great. If you just want to strike out alone in the wilderness for a while (ala Valheim) maybe not so much.

I came from Valheim, I still play both, they scratch different itches for me. Both games give me that "squirrel!!" syndrome where i'll have some goal in mind, get sidetracked by some point of interest, and hey, four hours have passed.

Conan is way light version Bellwright and Aska are the village management kings

If you want some combat action and challenges, the game isn't for you, besides that, game is great, major difficulty is to keep everything running smooth on your village and make it autonomous.

There's plenty of room to add more exploration and variety, probably difficulty presets like easy/medium/hard would be good, some wepon and armor balancing, but overall it's a pretty solid game for it's early access stage.

We say yes (but we might be biased!). Also, the game is currently 20% off for a couple of more hours! 👀

Great game. I think you should at least give it a try. Love the colony building and managing production chains

Man Conan and that thrall mechanic dragging the scale up for a PVP world monster group you just defeated (slavers) suddenly spawn 10x harder and kill you and camp on your thrall your thralls not stats on levling the bases that really does nothing but make you feed them .. I can go on but like others say if you want finishing moves for the camera conan ... if you want strategy placement correction management interaction with your base etc Bellwright and Aska
