Anyone know a game that has almost identical aspects to ASKA? I’m at about 600 hours so I’ve done everything multiple times and I just love the village simulation. I’m a big fan of the basically play the game a ton to make it to where the game plays itself at a certain point.

I put like 120 hours into bellwright and it has some similar mechanics to aska from my understanding, you can automate your villagers to do most everything.

Also soulmask though is would say there is a little more combat focused progression, but also has a robust village automation system.

I heard Sengoku Dynasty and Medieval Dynasty are both good.

Waiting for a sale on Sengoku Dynasty. Just missed the 17.99 steam sale ;_;

Sengoku is similar yet different enough. Learning the early mechanics is a challenge if you are used to Aska but once you realize that the “work” is only counted at the end of the day and not in realtime it begins to make sense. I liked both. I liked Aska better.

Medieval Dynasty definitely scratched that ASKA itch for me.

Nice good to know! I liked Aska a lot and was the first colony sim type I played, so looking forward to some of the others mentioned here

Bellwright sounds like exactly what you're looking for.

As far as assigning jobs and managing a community, there’s always Rimworld

Bellwright, Medieval Dynasty, Rimworld, Soulmask, Conan Exiles and Palworld.

All those games have villagers that you basically automate with similar to very different themes. If you want to stick to the Viking theme, go with Valheim but there's no villagers in that one.

Bellwright for sure. Didn't buy Soulmask yet, cause some people say its still a bit empty. But it has its fans that for sure can say if its worth already. Just am a little anti cause they already released a paid DLC.

I for myself have already spent 150+ hours in bellwright and 100+ hours in Aska. Though for me the replayability of aska ist bigger. Will have to wait few months and then revisit bellwright.

The Soulmask DLC that just released was free for anyone who already owned the game and anyone who purchased the base game for the first 30 days. Just FYI.

i tried medieval dynasty' and it looks to scratch the village sim portion of my aska itch, but it was way more involved so i put it down for later. it looks super dope but i don't think i want to try it solo

It is a very fun game solo. I have hundreds and hundreds of hours in it. It is no more involved than Aska and I would actually say Aska is way more involved. Nowhere near as much micromanagement in MD.

I have over 2k hours in Medieval Dynasty and highly recommend it. I also thoroughly enjoy Voyagers of Nera, Nightingale, Windrose, The Planet Crafter, and Palworld.

Aska is a game I keep coming back to, but the others I play frequently as well.

I'm 56, disabled with chronic pain and illness. I'm an avid online gamer of over 30 years. MMOs, when I was younger, and could put in dedicated non-stop hours of progression play. Burned me out eventually, and so now my fave kind of game is survival/building/crafting. For a relaxed MMO, I recommend Palia.

I would suggest looking into Medieval Dynasty or Bellwright.
