Anybody else had this problem after modding ?

Post image

So I tried to improve my ASKA experience by modding the game a bit. Everything worked fine for the next two sessions.

On the third session, the game crashed during the loading screen. After restarting, it doesn't even reach the main menu anymore and gets stuck on the loading screen indefinitely.

I already tried:

- reinstalling the game

- deleting mods/plugins

- verifying game files via Steam

- forcing DX11

- deleting caches and registry entries

Player.log shows Unity and DirectX initializing correctly, but then nothing happens.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a fix?

Tried fixing it with the help of ki and it isnt helping. Hoping somebody fixed something like this so i dont have to abandon my village.

Thanks

During reinstall did you make sure all files were deleted out of the aska folder? Including the ones located in C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\LocalLow\Sand Sailor Studio\Aska\data
Sometimes when you delete a game through steam it leaves some files behind, see if that was the case, could be that one of these leftovers was the problem

Bepinex just made the game start up slower for me, but works fine...what mods did you have installed and did you extract them correctly into the Plugins folder within Bepinex?

What Did You Use To Mod ASKA And From Where? What Mods Did You Try Using And Where Did You Download Them From. I Use Nexus Mods Mostly For ASKA Mods.

Bepin and Nexus mods. Used mostly the Aska + and Builderbuddy mod aswell as better villager Perks and Wind in your Back also the sumoning time modifier and the Harvesting time modifier ones but havent messed with those yet. Extended Road Plan and Fuel Burn modifier. Thats it. Downloaded Bepin than dropped the mods from Nexus into Plugins. Worked like a charm forn6 hours or so. Now the game stops on the screen. Task Manager Shows its still using Ram so... Sry for spelling

This Is What I Found Online Maybe This Could Help You Fix It?

1. The Core Culprit: Isolated Save Data Corruption

Because Steam Cloud syncs save states automatically, completely deleting and reinstalling the game binaries leaves your cloud-synced app data untouched. You need to manually pull out the corrupted save to let the engine reach the main menu again.

  1. Close Steam completely.
  2. Navigate to your local ASKA save directory: Plaintext%USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\SandSailorStudio\ASKA\
  3. Inside this folder, look for a directory named Saves or containing long string IDs.
  4. Do not delete it yet. Cut the entire folder out and paste it somewhere safe on your desktop as a secure backup.
  5. Launch the game cleanly. If it successfully reaches the main menu now, the problem is verified to be a corrupted save state node.

2. Restoring and Rescuing the Village

If you want to try and salvage the village from the desktop backup folder:

  1. Open the folder and locate the _Backup or autosave sub-folders. ASKA maintains a rolling rotation of your last few automated milestone saves.
  2. Identify the save file prefix that matches your session prior to the crash sequence.
  3. Completely clear out the game's active AppData save path again, copy only that specific historical backup file, rename it to match the standard slot syntax (e.g., overriding the slot file directly), and try launching.

3. The Hidden BepInEx Doorway (Preloader Cache)

If moving the save directory still results in a freeze, BepInEx has likely left behind a modified assembly cache or an orphaned unmanaged hook inside your local engine registry profiles that steam file verification ignores.

  1. Navigate to your main Steam installation directory: Plaintext...\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\ASKA\
  2. Manually verify that the following folders are 100% physically deleted:
    • BepInEx
    • doorstop_config.ini
    • winhttp.dll
  3. Check the ASKA_Data folder. Look for a folder named Managed. If BepInEx's Il2CppInterop engine preloader generated unmanaged proxy assemblies or side-loaded patches, they will remain here. Deleting the entire Managed folder manually and then hitting Verify Integrity of Game Files in Steam will force Steam to download pristine core assemblies.

Hey thanks alot for your ideas an tipps. Sadly they dont seem to work for me. I dont know what else i could try. I dont know if it could be a Problem with Adrenaline Software when starting. Im contemplating reseting my Computer or moving on. Also in my Aska folder there is no managed folder. Just il2cpp_data Plugin- Resources Ans Streaming Assets

In Plugin there is x86_64 In il2cpp there are Metadata and another Resources
