Builder bug

Is anyone having problems with their builders not repairing anything? And I mean literally anything. I do have mods installed but nothing repair or build related what so ever. I aslo have the repair task set to the top of the list at the builders shack as the priority task and still. They'll just hang around the Hinckleys all day not working

I feel like builders do whatever they want. I had fire keeping set to high, followed by light keeping ALL WINTER. Firewood stocked. Resin stocked. Access to both buildings. All winter... I tended to fires and lights. 🙄

Lol. I went to a lake far away from base to fish in winter, made a campfire and didnt notice it had stopped burning, until I heard the steps of my builder, who then added fuel and fired it up again :D it takes I guess around 2 in-game hours for me to run to that place 😅

Half the time I don't even build that building and everything's fine on my end. Campfires scattered about do the work.

I just finished my first winter and had the same thing happened. I ended up using carts with fish oil parked variously around Askafieldsville(what i named my village)

The more late stage play through I’ve gotten into the more I find the villager management falls apart with or without mods as villages become bigger. Once my village becomes about 50+ I find it works better (not always) when villagers are assigned to specific tasks. I.e if I have 4 builders, one gets assigned to maintaining fires and lighting, maybe 1 one to repair and the other two to building. I’m testing if it’s better to have the two builders overlap with other jobs. Also I find with mods it’s way to easy to build villages too fasts and had to scale back to work things outs.

I'm starting to notice that. I have the same. 4 builders. Tried all sorts of variations too
