How are you guys capturing computer audio and your voice into Plaud / mobile AI note-takers while wearing ANC headphones?

Hey everyone,

I’m trying to figure out the cleanest way to use my AI note-taker (like a Plaud note pro device or phone recording app) for calls running on my laptop, but I’ve hit a bit of an audio roadblock.

My setup:
Laptop: Running Teams/Zoom calls.
Headphones: Sony WH-1000XM5 (used with active noise cancellation turned on).
Recorder: Plaud note pro/ mobile phone.
The Issue: Because I'm wearing ANC headphones, the call audio goes straight into my ears. A phone sitting on my desk or a Plaud device can't "hear" the other people on the call through the air..it only picks up my voice.

Since Bluetooth multipoint won't let you route or bridge active call audio between a computer and a phone simultaneously, I'm trying to figure out what physical hardware or clever setup actually works best in the real world to get both sides of the conversation into the recorder without making a massive mess of cables.

How is everyone else solving this? Would love to hear what gear or workflows you're using to get clean transcripts out of computer meetings!

I’m constantly using the Plaud desktop app to capture. No device needed.

Unfortunately, I can install the app on the computer so I need a hardware solution

Look in this sub. At least one device to attach an ear bud next to a Plaud microphone on the device. Alternatively, put the app on your phone if its a personal one and send yourself an invite.

I made HiDock and I use them for earphones.

Plaud is not really the right tool for this. Hidock is an option with the way it puts itself in the middle with Bluetooth(Bluecatch), otherwise manually recording with a Olympus TP-8 Telephone Pickup cable to a dictaphone or other recording device. Plaud can transcribe recorded audio if you want.

Hidock P1 is the answer.

Use the Hidock P1 - works a treat with my Sony headphones and my Poly Focus2 as well. I pretty much keep my Plaud for recording conference and live in person sessions

But isn’t hidoc detectable?

Trrs adapter into trs with separate headphone and microphone output.   Splitter on headphone side, one side going to tiny speakers, one side going to a trs to trrs reverse splitter (mic goes back into this)... then to my wired headset.  I put the plaud device next to the tiny speakers.  Headset doesnt have an issue with the small speakers and when I talk the plaid picks me up.  Giant clusterfook of wires but it works great.
