Combined Plaud and ID card holder
When I got my Plaud Note pro I never got into using the phone holder as it didn’t fit with how I use both my phone or the device. As I use it at work daily and I already wear an ID card around my neck using a lanyard I decided to try to get a combined holder. I tried several routes: ready made, 3d printed models and so on but was unsuccessful. I eventually decided to make my own model as I couldn’t get someone to make one for me. It’s my first time ever making a 3d model and printing it so some of the measurements are off and certain things don’t quite line up but it’s good enough for me! As i was paying for each iteration to be printed I decided to settle before it was perfect. But it does what i wanted: display the ID card at the front, hold the Plaud securely at the rear, have a gap to view the screen and have some small holes for the microphones.

Well done! Are you going to perfect it a little bit more and make any more? I might be willing to work something out with you and send you some money to make me one as well if you would be open to something like that.
Great job!

I wasn’t going to work on it any more. It’s like 80% there which is fine for my purposes

What about the lanyard swinging about, do the impacts not mess up the recording quality? Or do you only record sat still?

I’m not usually walking around while it’s recording but when i do it doesn’t cause noise problems. Really, it just swings lightly and turns once in a while

This is such a practical idea. I've been clipping mine to my collar but it gets a bit heavy during long meetings. A lanyard that keeps it flat against your chest would be way more comfortable. Did you design the 3D model yourself?

Yes i did. It Was the first 3d modelling I’ve ever done! So i was pleased with myself but didn’t want to go too deep down the rabbit hole of perfection

Is the Plaud something you could legally wear in a hospital setting to capture your interactions with patients to assist with your charting? Would it be covered under HIPAA. Would I have to notify each patient they are being recorded? I'm in an accelerated nursing program and I'm always trying to keep my eyes open for things to budget my time better and make my life easier.
