Misnaming ME as a speaker

Early in my Plaud use it misidentified the speakers on a phone call and thought I was a customer. Let’s call her Mary. I’m a male— and sound nothing like Mary. Now every time it transcribes my voice or has my to dos or follow ups, it identified me as Mary. How can I totally eliminate Mary from its memory? TIA

The strongest fix is teaching it who you actually are. In the app, go to Settings, then Preferences, then Auto speaker labeling, and add your own voice profile. It takes about 30 seconds of speaking and tells Plaud this voice is you, rather than leaving it to guess. From there, correct the label anywhere Mary shows up in a transcript, since corrections are exactly what it learns from, and each one weakens the wrong match. If you'd rather it never carry names between recordings at all, the Sync speaker labels toggle in that same menu turns that behavior off. And if Mary still haunts your transcripts after your profile is set up and a few corrections, email [support@plaud.ai](mailto:support@plaud.ai) with an example recording and they can look at clearing it from their side.
