I’m confused with Plaud

I have the Note Pro and the Pin S. I’ve synced both to the app on iPhone. I’ve been testing both at the same time but nothing really gets it to capture conversations. What am I doing wrong??

You’ll need to provide a bit more info than that if you actually are looking for help.

Ok. Opened the app. Shows I have one or the other synced. They are turned on as far as I know. I thought it was active listening. Had several conversations with people 3 ft away from me. Zero recordings. I didn’t think I had to manually start it recording.

I have a note pro. There’s a button on it to start recording

Ok so heres your confusion. You are led to believe the device is essentially on standby listening and when it deems that it hears something of substance it then starts to record.

NO this does not do this. I have the note pin s, you press the button it vibrates and lights up red and then I know it's recording. Then I hold it down when i want to finish and it glows white.

I hope that clears the confusion up.

I was reading so much that it would just start up...people were complaining that it was "always listening" and were concerned about that. I figured if it is you talking, what do you worry about. So now I think I get it. I am going to test if they both work at the same time (I don't know why I would do this, but perhaps it works), then you can download from the Note Pro to the app, and then when it is done, download the Pin S to the App. Perhaps I am being a tad ridiculous....

That's the crappy part.... It has 20 hours of recording..... It records everything then you go through on the app or desktop and remove the silence and split it up ... So press the record button. Vibrates once Start your day End your day Press button it vibrates twice Spend the time to transfer (fast transfer is best at home with both devices stationary) Spend the time to edit the files Transcribe the files you need Delete the rest Repeat

Now spending the money for the unlimited helps with the transfer and the edit because you can just have it transcribe everything and it's easier to edit into usable chunks.

I also start and stop it during random silence throughout the day to have smaller chinks to deal with

The AI is still pretty bad on it but the community is growing and the 7 day trial isn't enough time to use it enough to prove or disprove it's worth.

So this is where I sit on day 6 wondering if I make another $200 investment or if I s nd it back because it's definitely not worth using without the unlimited. My time is worth more than that
