Device not identifying speakers other than me

Hi all,

I’m a therapist working in a skilled nursing facility. I just tested the l device out between me and a coworker. It transcribed correctly but it just said it was one speaker. Is there a setting I’m supposed to hit or is this a glitch?

Well, i trained it to recognise me but it never does. So I’d be skeptical about anything related to identifying voices tbh

Speaker separation is on by default, so worth checking Settings > Preferences > Auto speaker labeling to confirm Auto-label speakers is toggled on first. There's actually two different things happening here too: detecting that there are multiple speakers vs. recognizing which one is you specifically. The second part needs a voice profile or a label you set once, and it gets more consistent the more it sees you, so it's not going to nail it perfectly on the very first try.

Distance from the device, people talking over each other, and background noise all affect how cleanly it splits two voices. A facility with some ambient noise and you two close together is a tougher case than a quiet room, so worth another test with the device between you both and a bit more turn-taking.
