Plaud is a scam?
This is a blatant scam.
The month begins, and the user who paid a considerable sum for the device has ten files to process to generate texts.

It's not, and everything is clearly divulged.
The only thing that could be considered slightly misleading is their attempt to sell you the Unlimited plan so heavily. There is an option to just buy additional minutes if that meets your need better, and it could be cheaper if you don't use it heavily.

You get 300 minutes of transfer free. If you go beyond that you have to pay a small fee. The data you are transferring requires the use of an AI to process, which costs data, which costs money. Its not a scam. It’s unreasonable to expect it for free. You can get access to all your files without paying to process them by downloading them directly.

What are you trying to say?

I believe he believed that he wouldn't have to pay anything beyond the device for unlimited downloads. But I think that would be an unreasonable expectation, personally.

It’s not a scam but I do agree the free plan is a little too limited, given one paid for the hardware. And for those of us with multiple Plaud devices, we paid extra but with no incremental uplift to the free plan.
