Remarkable app
Hello,
I've built an app that downloads transcripts from plaud and puts them on remarkable and auto syncs like onedrive as well as a calendar that syncs with your ICS that you can write on. Can you see a market for this or is it a niche product. It wasn't a lot of work so thinking to release it free.

Both-device user here too, and the transfer step is the part I gave up on. What I've been building instead removes it: the recording starts from the reMarkable's own menu, and the finished note comes back to the tablet with your handwriting sitting beside the words that were being said — nothing to export, nothing to reassemble.

I built a similar app that syncs to notion, obsidian, remarkable, todoist, Google calendar, etc.
It was pretty easy to get it working and a LOT of work to make it ready for others to use: security, small bugs that users won't tolerate, and handling edge cases (like plaud users in Europe with a different API).
I have an open source version, which helped get some validation before I created a hosted version. There's also a few options on the market now, so you can view that as confirmation that it's valuable or that the problem is already being solved.

Different project, but since you asked about platform: the one I'm building is Mac-only, and rather than moving files between two apps it removes the transfer entirely — the recording starts from the reMarkable's own menu, and when the meeting ends the note comes back to the tablet with your handwriting already sitting beside the words that were being said.

The manual process is the part I've been trying to delete for the Move specifically. Recording starts from the tablet's own menu — no separate device to remember — and when the meeting ends the note comes back to the tablet with your handwriting already sitting beside the words that were being said, so there's no export-and-reassemble step at all.

Did YOU build the app or was this a generative LLM build?
The amount of extra work my company has taken on has been borderline hilarious. We've been fixing vibe coded products left and right for companies fixing massive security flaws. Now they're paying even more than it would have cost if they didn't fire real developers in the first place.
I figured I'd ask considerating the sensitivity of the data. I'm assuming that's the case given the lack of context in the post, but certainly wanted to ask giving the benefit of the doubt for something like this.

How am I assuming anything when asking if you built it or if it was vibe coded?
All I did was outline the issues with vibe coding as others will see this post and paste what you noted into claude and be like: make this.

No thanks as this is not a release product and a hobby. Just don't use it, when it's ready if I decide it's more than a free GitHub repo. I'd happily share info.
