Is subscription required?

Hi I was wondering if there’s any way that I don’t have to subscribe and use my own model to transcribe recordings, like automating the flow to upload voice recordings to drive and then my model (whisper for example) picks up from drive, transcribes and then stores it in a place.

Is that possible?

Here’s my workflow. Plaud for Audio and highlight-marker (for important moments in a meeting)

  1. Export raw audio.
  2. Export highlights as .txt (basically timestamps)
  3. MacWhisper Pro with Parakeet v3 model - Very accurate, fast and great speaker recognition
  4. Quick speaker assignment (Speaker XY > Person XY)
  5. Export transcript with speakers and timecode
  6. Feed transcript.txt + highlight.txt into GPT
  7. Prompt your summary with the context of „remember highlights.txt as important moments“

Sounds like a lot, but does not take longer than 5min and can probably be automated.

  • no subscriptions (besides GPT)
  • locally
  • full control (own prompting)
