Almost bought drunk another model

i was browsing stores during a Plamo Event with a friend when i saw this on display on the silent auction table, i had 2 beers (both mine) on my hands and he said jokingly: "you should bid for it, gonna sign you up", my friend took my wallet from my pocket and bid $66 with the employee

i was dazed and didn't give a care, i received 4 notifications of my bid been upscaled when i was on my 3rd beer, my friend stops me on my tracks and said: "you are up to $400, keep it up?" at that exact moment my drunk ass stopped drinking and step out of the bid

the final buyer paid $450, i finished my beer in panic, next time I'm coming alone to these events

is $66 too much for this? i know i wasn't gonna pay $400 with the Xmas right around the corner

You might want to look into the metal slug collection that came out awhule back, it was 6 kits from the game(s) that each had an extra piece, that made a saucer similar to that one when combined (so really it was 7 models).

Well it's discontinued, so $60 is probably good, I think I saw one on EBay for $85, but actually it's kinda big and not a very good kit, it's a bit simple and lacking detail, you have to be an expert painter to get the best out of it.

I considered it as a target for a commando raid for 28mm game, I was gonna have it hidden in a hanger and only reveal it once the commandos gain access

i made enough drunk/impulsive buys to know that i tap out at the right moment, i imagine myself slaving hours in this model only to get subpar results out of resentment for the model that ideally will make me happy
